I agree he can talk sense. Pity he chooses not to sometimes, and that he is so childish and unprofessional much of the time. That's what I find disturbing, especially in a judge.

The whole point of a judge is to fair, and he is not. Is he a person fit to decide on the merit of things? By his behaviour on and off the panel I think it is 'fair' to say that this is not the case. Deciding who he is going to 'get' beforehand and thinking up insults which are not as clever as he seems to think they are, saying spitefully, "You can have him!" to Holly and so on ad nauseum.

It's good to have a quirky character, for enlivening things - maybe a comedian - but judges should not behave like mindless idiots.

I think part of the problem is that a judge is supposed to be fair as you say, however on shows like DoI, they aren't really proper judges, they are an "entertainment panel". Sadly, there are too many people around who believe that it is actually entertaining to be rude and offensive to people, especially "celebrities". You'd think that so called entertainers would be able to come up with some slightly more intelligent and witty forms of entertainment, but hey, maybe too much of the public is too stupid to want to be entertained intelligently?

Gardiner is not a good judge, he is not even an average one, he is the worst judge on British television. I agree with Winenroses - I am sure he could give a balanced "critique" but he choses to make personal remarks, is spiteful in the extreme, childish and thoroughly unprofessional. He is constantly throwing his dummy out of his cot and toys out of his playpen and having hissy fits.

From his own lips he has admitted that he has no conscience about hurting people and actually seems to revel in it - conceited arse. It is unbelieveable that he and Gordon "The Gopher" Schofield twittered derogatory comments about Sharron. Both are nasty, vindictive idiots and lily-livered poltroons. I think they should both go back to the broom cupboard where they belong. Neither would be missed especially before, during and after the break.
