Any particular reason? How about wearing them with a nice long jacket? Does that pass quality control?

I really can't decide if I like those things. I own a pair but everytime I wear them I feel like a bit of a rough bird. Are they tacky??? I quite like them on other people (some anyway) but I just feel wrong in them.

Jeans with stitching on them to look like skinny jeans....Not really fooling anyone are they?

They look cute on Mini Deb (she's 5) but I don't really fancy them, aren't leggings an 80s thing? Are they making a comeback? *behind the times*

If you hang on a bit they will have gone away again and you won't even realise you were briefly behind the times. Double whammy.

Jeggings are what you get if you cross leggings with jodhpurs, c.f. Jedward.

They're black and tight up to the knees then flare outwards, all baggy like, to hide one's thighs.

I had to google it! They are leggings which look like jeans, hence jeans/leggings = jeggings. I bought Mini Deb's ones months ago, without realising they were trendy!

I think I wear these. I just call them jeans. I mean, they are made of denim with all jean-like stitching, but no zip or pockets. I know I don't have the stomach or bum, or thighs really, to wear them as is, so I wear long shirts, skirts or a dress over them. They're the only kind of jeans I can comfortably wear...on me, every other 'shape' of jeans goes in or out or up or down in the wrong place and this worries me. These are uncomplicated.

They look like someone's wearing a pair of jeans that are 2 sizes too small to me.

They're also prone to causing severe camel toe I'll stick to normal jeans, ta.

Well that was confusing - I thought you were the guardian link person.

I see your reply now.

Jeggings.

So they are basically tight jeans.

I bought a pair of dark blue jeggings at the weekend and I LOVE THEM! It's official!

They are SO comfy and look great with flat ballet pumps. I wear them with a long top because I am nearly 33 and a size 14 - the long top comes well over my bum and has lycra in it so it does not go baggy round the bum / elbows. The jeggings have lycra too so no baggy knees.

My OH said I look fab in this outfit, and I must say I felt great. I'm a convert.

Yes, they're leggings with a denim print on them. They're hideous, in my opinion.

Mine aren't like that, they are like proper, stretchy, very thin denim. They are brilliant, I promise you. I got them from George at ASDA.

Why are they hideous?

They're similar to skinny jeans, just much more comfortable imo, although I do love skinny jeans as well

I think if they are worn with a long top such as a tunic or short dress, they look just fine, they are like warmer tights. I only wear black ones though.
