There has been so so so much talk about this particular contestant...but I noticed there hasn't really been a proper thread to discuss her (except her appreciation thread) and I think there really needs to be, considering almost every thread on here relates back to her in some way.

What I would like to say is....how can people be so cruel ? I have read so many posts saying she 'grins like a maniac', she's fake, she's far too competitive etc etc. How can people really back these comments up ?? Nobody knows Hayley. Absolutely nobody can say these things and properly back them up. i think it's so harsh that people can say these things, based on a 2 minute VT and some excellent skating performances.

Are people saying these things because Hayley is a threat to their favorite ?? Or because they actually believe them? Because if you do actually believe them...I really don't want to post on DS anymore, because that is WAY out of order.

I think Hayley tries her best, works very hard, has a bubbly personality, is very pretty, great chemistry with Dan, loves the show and really enjoys skating. How can people perceive her like she is the devil ??

I think it comes down to the tall poppy syndrome, a bit anyway. Maybe folks think Hayley is getting too cocky.

Maybe you should just breathe deeply, walk away from the computer for a while, and accept that not everyone will feel the same way as you about the things you like.

Also, starting a thread like this is looking for trouble. People will speak their minds and you'll get angry. Why bother?

Because I'm actually genuinely interested in finding out why people are so aggressive in their opinions towards her, when I can honestly see no reason for it. I wont get angry lol...I'm just very curious.

I completely understand that people don't share my views...but i'm very interested in knowing why she is the 'least favorite contestant' on DS and was wondering what to look out for on Sunday that irritates people so much....just so I gain a little light on peoples perspective.

Well I certainly haven't seen that (the bolded bit) anywhere on here - I think you may be seeing things a little darker than they are intended. You need a dose of Hayley's bubbliness I think.

The posters opinions are only opinions just like yours - don't take it to heart so. Her sort of personality just doesn't work for some people. You wont understand it because you interpret what you are seeing on screen differently to them.

All the contestants get stick. Compared to what was said about Ray, Hayley isnt doing that bad. Suzanne and Chris also got flack, for gods sake...

I actually really admire your passion but have to agree with Eejit and Strictly, to be honest I don't see aggression just fairly easy to understand reasons why some are not so keen as you. And last year Ray got a lot worse.

Its subjective, and you clearly like her (I do as well) so you wouldnt see it anyway. As long as the attacks arent hugely personal or anything (they have gotten some other years), its been fine. I think you're over reacting to this.

I seem to have read "I hope she falls flat on her smirky face...that'll wipe the smile from it" amongst others...

Well, the grins part is backed up by what we see on screen and is chiefly about how she behaves in some of her performances.

I can't recall any posts saying she's fake, so I'll have to guess. I don't know why people would think she's fake unless it's believing that she's putting on a performance rather than behaving naturally; but the celebls are presumably allowed to put on performances during their, um, performances. Still, people should be allowed to prefer more natural performances to more theatrical ones.

Too competitive? All I can remember there is some posts saying what convinced her to go for the headbanger was that otherwise Daniella would get it.

You're being too sensitive, this would probably roll off Hayley herself.

By that sort of logic, no one would ever let cocky-ness or arrogance show, contrary to fact.

No one is suggesting she wants to appear that way.

Exactly - the only celebs that appear to avoid getting stick this year are Daniella and Mikey.

Gazb - you just notice Hayley`s negative comments more because she`s your favourite. Let it go over your head instead of questioning people`s reasons for disliking her.
