Daniella has gotten called quite a bit, especially to do with the nose cocaine incident and also that she has a "hard face" supposedly.
There is specific thread on here asking why people like Mikey and Mel as well. Mel even got called ugly and someone said she looked like a man in another thread.

That's where I disagree with you !! Completely!! I think Hayley absolutely IS being victimised, and the reason for this is her big lead on the favorite to win by bookmakers...therefore a massive threat to other people's favorites. I think if the tables were turned and Hayley wasn't that good...people would totally leave her alone, and go after the contestant that's doing the best. Ray last year, is a classic example.

You think Hayley gets more flack than Coleen Nolan got, or Dr Hilary got? Or aggie got? Or Heather Mills got? No dont think so...

The show discussion threads can get really horrible sometimes. That's where the nasty comments about Mel were posted - far far worse than anything I've seen on Hayley. And the same stuff about Daniella's cocaine habit gets trotted out week after week in the mistaken belief it's funny.

It also wouldn't surprise me gazb2 if knowing how you always pounce on any post critical of Hayley that some may just be winding you up. Don't rise to the bait all the time.

I'm not saying it's right, some of the personal stuff is very very wrong, I'm just saying you have to stop overreacting to it... Or if you can't, simply stop reading it...
People disliking a celeb on here isnt generally an accurate view of how the public feels in general. Go read the showbiz forums on cheryl cole, or kirsten stewart who is loved by million in twilight and is currently being slated for looking like an unwashed drug addict...
Hayley is doing alright...

Actually, although most of the comments about Hayley aren't as bad as the OP suggests (there are some unpleasant personal remarks but most celebs get those at some point) but there does seem to be a hell of a lot of them.

I'm wondering whether it's a joint cause and effect. Hayley had her detractors who posted negative comments. Her supporters weighed in vehemently implying that the detractors were making the comments mainly because she was a threat. The detractors defended their comments and denied the allegations. The supporters got even more vehement. More detractors weighed in... more supporters jumped to the defence and so on until the board seems swamped with Hayley arguments.

Some of it may be winding up yes, for example a thread like this is almost asking for trouble...

That's horrible, I think Daniella should be extremely proud of herself.

With regards to Hayley, I have defended her, but I do think that her core fans need to relax a bit. Just don't take half of the stuff seriously. People are devious and they will wind you up if they realise that they have the power to do so. I have someone on here now on ignore button (nothing to do with Hayley, but to do with Sharron), because the person is definitely a wind up merchant.

Hayley has been consistently at the top of the leaderboard, it makes her very susceptible to criticism (because she is the one to beat). Unfortunately, people will concentrate their main criticism on her, and additionally most people define who they like by whom they not like. It's human nature. To the OP, just keep your chin up and don't fall into the same trap.

OP do you think you are doing Hayley any favours by coming on here starting a thread that will most likely end up being another Hayley bashing thread?
Been reading Hayley's Twitter and Hayley herself seems very gushing to particular fans but then barely acknowledges others, it appears there's a group that are hell bent on stirring things up for her.
I believe you are also one of the posters on there? Correct me if I am wrong.
This thread I believe has come about due to Hayley coming on here to read posts and not like what she's read, if she's not big enough to take criticism then she should stay well away from forums like this as eveyone is entitled to an opinion and not everyone can like ALL the people on the show.
And as for all the gushing, and sucking up to fans that were creeping and crawling to her last night is was a bit pathetic and desperate in my opinion.
I read somewhere (can't remember where) that a fan had met her somewhere and that she had no time for them and that she appeared very demanding with her entourage and was more interested in her designer doggy.

As someone who loves Dancing on Ice and is supporting Hayley in the show I think it's time she maybe actually read the posts and take away what people are saying the good AND the bad and maybe learn from that rather than whining about it or she will lose respect from the true fans.

Let's just assume for a sec that this thread was an honest attempt to work out why people don't like someone who, in the OP's view, has done nothing to make herself dislikeable.

As a non-basher and non-fangirl when it comes to Hayley, I've been trying to work out why I don't like her, in the sensible, rational way such a thread like this demands...

...and I can't think of a reason. I just don't like her

The closest I can come is that she doesn't make me FEEL anything when she skates. Danniella does, Kieron does, Mikey does - but I feel with Hayley that her flashing smiles and showy moves are almost substitutes for genuine enjoyment, rather than expressions of it.

Am I making sense? (Hey, there's a first time for everything).

And by the way, I think it's rude to dismiss a thread out of hand if it isn't a thread opened specifically to bash someone.

I think Hayley is the best thing that has happened to DOI in years. She can pull off any kind of routine, fast or slow, she's got a great personality and attitude towards the show. She's clearly having a ball and it's written all over her face. She's a pleasure to watch ! For the first year ever I find myself watching her rather than Daniel

As for the haters, well I just take pleasure is imagining these people are little and feeble, with a small appendage, who probably wouldn't say boo to a goose in "real life" but seem to get all "hard" (probably in more ways than one ewww!) when sat behind a computer. I have nothing but pity for them

I hate to say this, but you are so out of line. This thread was not created due to Hayley 'coming on'...and I think your out of order to say she was 'pathetic and desperate and gushing up to fans.' All she is doing is trying to say thank you to the people that support her, give a little back...it's called COURTESY...something which you obviously lack. I didn't create this thread to do Hayley 'favors' and in my opinion it's YOU that's looking too much into it. I was curious to hear peoples opinion on Hayley, and to understand why she is being negatively talked about, when I see no reason to it. And "you can't like everyone.." just doesn't seem like a valid enough reason in my opinion...same with 'she smiles too much.'

I can understand your curiosity, gazb2, because I've wondered much the same myself.

I had never heard of Hayley before as I don't follow the soaps and I had no idea who she was and so no preconceived ideas about her. BUT from the very start she has been my favourite. I love her attitude; don't see any cocky behaviour from her at all (she said Jason was right to say she 'messed up'!); think she has a great relationship with Dan (she's been criticized for that on here!) and I love their routines.

Her bubbliness comes over as totally natural to me as does her smile. I imagine what you see with her is what you get and that's just how she is in reality.

I thought the 'Endless Love' routine was - to quote Jason - 'sublime' and showed that they can do intense and romantic numbers just as well as bouncy ones.

Try not to let it get to you. It's a forum and people are going to say what they think and disagree with you.

Best thing thats happened to DOI?? How do you work that out? She's not the best skater that's been in the show, as someone who has skated in the past what Hayley does is showy and flashy but NOT that technicaly difficult, yes it looks good and the performance is fabulous BUT compared tp previous celebs in the show she is NOT the same standard, to say she is better than Ray Quinn for examble is a total farce.

I love watching Hayley's performance BUT she is still lacking in skating technique on the one remotley difficult part of the routine she messed up and quite rightly some of the judges marked her accordingly, BUT I also feel Daniella wasn't marked down when she should have been for messing up the lift although not entirley her fault.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and if it doesn't match the people that are fawing over Hayley then too bad. It would be a boring world if everyone liked the same people.

I will continue to support Hayley and of course her partner as I do love her enthusiasm and her performance each week and it's obvious she is skating her dream so gook luck to her

when it all comes down to it on a forum you will find varying opinions and not everyone will like the person you do - it is unfortunate that some people have to express their dislike of someones performances on a show so personally but again that is par for the course on many forums especially this one.


The best thing is to not read such threads if you are easily upset and people like Hayley and last year RAy should just avoid reading here completely - I know Ray stopped reading after X Factor

I find her personality tedious and irritating. Oh, her face too.

There's no need to be nasty though. It's not just this forum it's others too There's some vicious people online and there's no need for it. I don't like Ray Quinn but you didn't see me slag him off last year. I just commented on his brilliant skating and kept my personal feelings about him to myself.

And yes Tiggergirl, IMO Hayley is the best thing that has happened to DOI. Take you're own advice and accept that's my opinion, even though you don't agree
