Porting hell
I was on tmobile payg until recently when I obtained my PAC code and took it to vodafone.
After a day or so my tmobile sim went off and displayed the message "Sim registration failed" which told me the porting was almost complete. Anyway the timescale vodafone gave me came and went and my number was still not active. I chased it up and vodafone reckon the number is still with tmobile who apparently have not released it. I spoke to tmobile who naturally told me the number had left them and to take it up with vodafone. After spending ages on the phone to both companies I keep being bumped back to each side. Can anyone with an understanding of how this works give me any ideas on where my number is and how I get it back? |

Ultimately the responsibility is with vodafone to resolve the issue. The vodafone porting team need to directly speak with the corresponding people in t-mobile to sort it. Escalate it within vodafone.

I've tried that, even going through vodafone's eforum but I swear they're being run by the chuckle brothers. Callbacks that don't happen, assurances that mean nothing, promises to "get it sorted" don't happen, offers of credit being applied to my account never materialise.
I'm only with Vodafone because they have the best signal where I live but right now there is no other incentive for me to stay. |

![]() Anyway, as far as dealing with this goes, inhouseuk is correct - you need to badger Vodafone until you get through to someone who knows what they're doing, seeing as your T-Mobile sim has gone off there won't be much T-Mobile can do about things. The Vodafone porting team can be called directly on 08080 945945 option 5 IIRC. |

Hi Knighton,
Apologies that it has taken me a few days to respond to this thread. It must be very frustrating to be waiting for your service to begin, only to find that your port hasn't worked correctly. I would like to ensure that your port has now completed and that you are able to use all of the services that you signed up for. Could you let me know whether we have been able to resolve the issue yet and if not we will be happy to investigate further for you. Thanks, Espi Web Relations Team Vodafone UK |
