Anyone watching this? I just found out it started 2 weeks ago, and the first episode is available.

It doesn't seem to be as good as the Australian version, but I guess it's OK. It lasted for only 44 minutes, which is a negative. The boardroom scene wasn't that good, but it's still too early to say that much about the boss.
Interestingly enough it had no female advisor, but two men instead.

I only watched Ep 1 so far, was pretty funny that they set up at the wrong location, but otherwise none of the people really stood out as overly good or bad for me yet, like the evil witches in the recent Aussie series.

I do like watching all these different countries' takes on the show though, especially when they're places I've been (US, Aus, Ireland, NZ).

I like how the NZ one has a jazzed up version of the US "Money money money" theme tune.

Noticed the credits too. Looks like the US version but sounds like a pisstake euro-pop money money money! The girls called Athena too!

Lets just say that I'm seriously disliking Catherine. She is such a dishonest and moaning cow. But fortunately it looks like the boss has taken notice of that.

Lee seemed like a total mental case. Quite funny to watch, but the guy just had to go.

Ive only seen the first 10 minutes on YouTube, but I must say it looks rather good! A mix of the US and UK versions it seems.

Some of the tasks are a bit unimaginative, but I am enjoying it a lot more than the last US series shown on BBC. Some interesting competitors and its a pleasure to see a boardroom where the boss makes rational decisions based on the evidence, and does not expect to be fawned to the whole time.

It looks like you have to download the episodes, they're not on youtube anymore.

Just google "the apprentice australia s01e01" for the first episode, and then change the end of it to e02, e03 and so on for the rest.

I think some of the Austalian episodes - certainly the latter stages - can be played from the Channel 9 site, but be aware that if you go there they have the name of the winner plastered all over.

Very good show different but still highly watchable which proves it's a winning format where ever it is made etc

NZ version does'nt have a trace of the UK's incidental music I noticed...

Just watched the first episode of the New Zealand version. I could resist laughing when the well-read candidates kept coming up with "original" names for their teams... which just happened to virtually all be team names from the various US and UK series!

Off now to track down the Australian version...

just watched latest episode of this biggest shock double sacking in any version never saw a double one coming but both deserved to be fired

Yeah, they practically dug a hole for themselves. Probably one of the worst attempts at bullshitting I've ever seen.

There have been several pretty weird and interesting things in this version:

- no one fired in one episode because the losing team also did a good job

- one guy asking to be fired in the boardroom because he felt it was the right and honorable thing to do as the leader of a losing team

- The above mentioned double firing (one of them fired even before the task results were announced) and the events leading up to it

- Rules being changed in the middle of a task because both teams sucked big time in selling tickets for a tour bus

- Two of the contestants being partners, with the boss making them go head to head as project managers

- The boss quite often choosing who will be in the final boardroom, or singling out persons who will not be in the final boardroom

Nicky seemed like an obvious winner to me, so surprised she went. I really don't know who will win out of the final 5 because they have all made big mistakes or haven't done very much. I'm thinking it will be Linda or Tom.

4 people left now. None of them look like a winner to me. Maybe David.

Firing Nicky was a big mistake. She had performed greatly up until then, and was my favourite to win. Her firing didn't make any sense either.

Episode 12 was great. This series has had lots of interesting and special moments. A lot of drama and things you didn't see coming. It's getting better and better every week and I'm looking forward to the last episode.
