Does anyone else think that the vicar is taking a rather unhealthy interest in Debbie, I think she has a crush on him but he seems way to keen to help her

Yeah I thought that. I think Ashley ends up thinking it too.
But he might just be interested in helping her........................

Ashley has already spoken to him about his relationship with Debbie - and that the villagers might talk.

Although i do feel he is just being a brilliant friend and confidant to her - i think it will progress to something more. After all - it would make a brilliant story line.

Do you think Ethan has changed though since he came into the show. When he arrived he was very harsh and quite strict with Ashley - but now he is mild and a bit sheepish all the time.

I don't think that Ethan will actually do anything, but I think it could end up as some sort of scandal, following gossip

Otherwise his character's a bit pointless, isn't he? Didn't he come in to help out after Ashley broke his leg? There can't really be much call for a vicar AND a curate in a village that size, can there?

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I missed loads of episodes of Emmerdale due to being at uni so he's kinda just appeared from nowhere to me. Don't fully understand why's he still there.

I think there's definitely going to be village gossip, then Cain will find out and get the wrong end of the stick, and put Ethan in hospital maybe, or seriously destroy him some other way. Whether they'll get together or not I don't know, but at least it should lead to a proper storyline for him at last...

I just wish they'd get rid of him. He's such a dull, boring character.

Make Emmerdale go back to four or five episodes a week, and get rid of the dead wood!

Plenty of scope for one to ones

Most people don't even know the name of their local vicar.

i think he's funny-very dour yet idealistic.i think he wants to help debbie as he was probably a tearaway teen himself=remember he said to emily'trust me kids left to their own devices get into trouble'?

The reason he is helping her, is because he has gone through the same ordeal when he was younger. that sortyline comes out later.
