i have a strange issue with my Sony Ericsson c903 Cybershot phone. i'll start at the beginning.

I went to write a new text message and it came up with an error message saying 'phone memory full. Delete one or more files of your choice'. at first i just thought i had so many messages on my phone that it had run out of space, so i deleted all of my sent messages and these are the least useful to keep (there were a lot of them)

all was well for a little bit, then it gave me the same message again. i thought this was weird because i had not received and sent the same amount of messages that i had deleted in a short space of time. despite this, i started deleting some games, pictures and music which came with the phone which i don't use and don't want. this freed up about 1MB of space which you would have thought was loads of space for a few messages? right? wrong! a few hours later i get the same message again. this has happened a number of times and i'm starting to run out of unwanted files to delete.

does anyone know what could be going on? perhaps someone knows a better forum for me to enquire about this issue, i have never had a mobile issue before so don't know where the best place to ask it.

thanks

If you've deleted files and still get the message, then I'm afraid you've run up against SonyEricsson's infamous memory handling bug. You can try to do a master reset (you will need to restore your data from a backup afterwards) but usually the only cure is to re-flash the firmware. You can either use the SonyEricsson update service or send it back to be done.
