Has anyone ever used these? We bought a packet of these toastie bags ages ago and still have a couple going spare. They can be re-used up to 100 times according to what it says on the packet, although it's probably best to give them a good clean before they are used again.

They make the perfect toastie as well. You can just make a cheese and onion sandwich like you normally do, put them in the toastie bag and place them into a toaster and wait until done. These are even nicer when you add baked beans to them when they are ready, gorgeous

saw an advert last night and thought the toasties looked amazing but I was sceptical. SO you say the toasties come out as real toasties? Doesn't all the filling fall to the bottom?

Thats what i thought it would do to start with, but they are actually quite good, all your filling is spread out evenly.

You have to becareful with what brand of toaster bags you buy though, because some are not that good and you'll find your toaster will burn little holes through them meaning that they arn't really that good to use again.

No, the contents of the toastie, usually always cheese and onion/ham in my case, always stay perfectly in tact within the toastie. Sometimes some of the cheese may ooze out and leak inside the bag, but this only happens when you over cook them.

They usually take around 3-5 minutes to cook in a toaster, though this depends on the setting your cooking them on, but the results are really nice. As I say, I add beans to mine sometimes which I cook in the microwave for 2 minutes and pour over the top of the filling inside the toastie

So far so good, we've not had that problem yet, although sometimes we've had to chuck certain bags away well before their 100 uses though and the black burn marks usually show up on the bags after about 10 or so uses.

These are a really good idea though. We were first drawn to them from an advert on TV also and we now use them most weekends

Do you not need an extra wide toaster?? I mean to fit two slices of bread plus filling in one side of it... Always wondered lol

I had the same query myself, but the sandwich once inside the toastie bag, should be able to fit inside the toaster fairly easily, though it depends on if you're using thick sliced bread.

I have tried it with thick bread before now and have had to gently press onto the bread once inside the bag to make it thinner so it will fit inside the toaster. Not ideal, but still does the job

I bought them and put the two slices in the bag with some cheese only for it to not fit in my toaster.

That's a shame. It depends on the thickness of the bread as well and those extra thick sliced loaves that you can get will never fit inside I don't think.

As a student I find these a god send! I have the ones from JML and if I am remembering correctly, the bags can also be used to 'cook' other snacks in the toaster like pizza? I haven't done it though!

We had some and not only were they a pain to clean but I found it a logistical nightmare getting the sandwich inside them! And I don't buy particularly large or wide bread!

The Lakeland ones are definitely the best. Nothing sticks to them, you don't burn holes in them, they last and last. I've even been known to cook fish fingers in them in the toaster when being really lazy after a night out, and I've seen scrambled eggs cooked in them, baked beans heated in them, and they make much better toasted sandwiches than the standard electric sandwich toasters.

I'm definitely a fan.

I love my toaster bags! No butter needed for the outside, no tooth breaking hard edges and virtually no washing up. Rinse in hot soapy water or stick them over the plate prongs in the dishwasher.

I'm on my second set of Lakeland ones after I managed to wear the first ones out

Took me ages to realise there were sandwich suggestions inside the paper wrapper. Anybody fancy..

Cherry Choc. Fresh or well drained tinned cherries topped with grated choc or crumbled chocolate flake.

Honey and Banana......

Peanut Butter and Jam...

Apple Pie and Custard. Apple pie filling, cinnamon and ready-made custard.

Chocolate Spread and Raisin

.........no? Oh, ok then

Eggy bread though....mmmmmmmm now that's a thought
