Err Coffee? No it's quite strong and intense ( well that's what is says on the side of the jar.) I used to like Blend 37 and Cap Columbe.

For me coffee has to be either filter or from an espresso machine - fave beans are Waitrose Monsoon Malibar, Lidl's espresso.
Instant is only for what OH and I call coffee shakes, as for us it doesn't have much resemblance to a real cup of coffee. We tend to drink Nescafe Gold decaf in the evenings. |

Real coffee - Mocha please! Only drink decaf these days, but that doesn't come mocha-flavoured unfortunately.

![]() To the OP: My favourite coffee is Kenya AA-- or any single-origin African bean as they tend to be not too acidic, not too earthy and lovely and fruity. |

Real coffee.
![]() Everyone I know calls me a snob for this. But instant coffee is vile and not a patch on the real thing. I never buy it now. Yes it takes 10 times longer to make ( I have an amazing espresso machine) but the satisfaction I get from starting my day with one is amazing. Instant coffee and real coffee taste totally different too. Like, completely different drinks. I'm amazed instant coffee is as popular as it is. Maybe it's a cost thing. If I were to buy an emergency jar of instant, it would be Carte Noir. But for real coffee, nothing beats Illy. |

We've just bought a rather expensive bean to cup machine, and I've made one or two coffees but hundreds of frothy hot chocolates
Every time I look at it I feel it should be with someone more deservingFound Sainsburys and Waitrose own beans to be the best |

Teddy - lol yea. i'm thinking of trying some diff like those.
Indian - i actually spent a summer with a vending machine at work which did kenco, and it was gorgeous. ![]() proper real coffee to me is almost like a meal - too indulgent to have as a passing cup, but nice if you want it. anyone know if you can get sachets to try some variations ? |

I use Illy pods in my espresso machine - they make a lovely cup, and without the mess of ground beans.

Another vote for Lidl's espresso (made in a cafetiere). I frequently try (and enjoy) others too but Lidl's espresso is consistently dependable, comes in a handy tin and good value.

I don't drink instant.
My favourite coffees are Kenyan or Java/Sumatran. |
