DHD4000 - new problem
ShrewsPVR

Hi, a while back I replaced the capacitors in my DHD4000 which pretty much got it back working as good as new.

But now I am finding (with increasing regularity) if I have paused TV or even after watching a recording, i can't switch channel. I just get a black screen, all the menu's/guides etc still work but until I do a power cycle no picture.

I can't see it being related but I have also just started using a Harmony 555 remote as well.

Any thought would be appreciated.

Note: nothing wrong with picture/signal during normal operation

I commented upon something similar a month or two ago.

I have also noticed that sometimes a previously recorded programme will freeze if I shuttle about with rewind and play functions. I usually have to go back to the menu and start the playback again from scratch if it does lock up.

I am still on the 'pre-switchover' transmission standard. I wonder if the signals have been quietly tweaked on the run up to the actual switch?

Incidentally as others have mentioned, no EPG info on CBeebies for me either via the 14 day guide. However, I had reason to replace the capacitors in a spare DHD4000, and during the testing phase, the Now & Next Freeview guide clearly showed info for CBeebies.
