So Sunday's show is nearly upon us Yey !!

Who do you think will be in the bottom 2 ?

I def think it will be Danny and Emily...with Emily getting voted out (but I think Emma will vote to save Emily...but the other judges will save Danny)

What does everybody else think? Could there be a wee surprise in the line?

I would be very surprised if it's not Danny and Emily.

Emily with either Danny or Gary...most likely Danny...

Emily may get a rebound vote (bit like Danny last week)

I'm guessing bottom 2 being Danny and Gary (or Kieron and Mikey).

I have a feeling Mikey's popularity could be waning as other celebs are getting better and he just seems to be remaining on the same level. Hayley and Daniella I'm sure will be safe and Kieron has shown himself to possibly being unsafe with his bottom 2 placing. However Danny vs Gary is most probably the likeliest outcome.

However I guess it depends really how they skate - Danny may have a break through and come top... however I doubt that very much

Generally if someone's in the skate off one week they avoid it the next. On that basis Emily may be safe, it depends how she skates. I'd go for Hayley v Danny, bye bye Danny.

Hopefully Emily will go even though I love Fred.

Think the judges would save her over Danny though.

It should be Emily and Danny, probably. But it rarely works out exactly as it should be.

Going by our very own DS poll, Mikey seems to have dropped back quite a lot in popularity, so I don't think he's totally immune from risk this week like he has been in the past:

1) Daniella & Matthew - 24.23%
2) Hayley & Dan - 21.13%
3) Kieron and Brianne - 17.53%
4) Mikey and Melanie - 15.46%
5) Gary and Maria - 10.31%
6) Emily and Fred - 9.79%
7) Danny and Frankie - 1.55%

Boyzone fans have always been masters of the multiple votes though, so that may still give him quite a lot of protection.

I would like to see Emily go this week, as I think she's the weakest now by quite a margin - she has been improving, but I think her time has probably come...

Kieron and Gary are the ones at risk that I hope avoid being in the bottom two, because they really do deserve to be in the latter stages of the comp. (Even though I find Gary deathly dull, I'll admit he's a decent enough skater )

Should be Emily and Danny with Danny to stay. But we'll have to see what the performances are before we can truly judge.

How is Emily the worst by quite a margin, she was above Danny on the leaderboard on Sunday, she wasn't that far behind Mikey either.

I think Danny is generally undermarked. I would place him ahead of both Emily and Mikey in terms of his skating (though a long way behind the top 4 still). I think Emily was overmarked at the weekend, and is still pretty ropey. She can get away with being crapper because as a women she can spend a lot of the time being lifted.

But that's just my opinion.

(And to be fair though, you may be right that's she's not much worse than Mikey in truth. So maybe it should really be her and Mikey in the bottom two.)

I dont' know, I think Kieron might have won some popularity out there in the real world. I think to start with, a lot of people might have thought him just another of these young Hollyoaks stars (maybe a bit immature - I'm not saying that I think that by the way). He is the one with the journey, and to a certain degree he is comparable to Donal last year (although he has more potential than Donal). If he pulls out a good performance he might be safe. It could be Danny and Gary (I think Emily might be safe, particularly if Jason starts ranting at her for no particular reason). If Hayley and Daniella perform like last week, I don't see a reason why they would end up in the skate off. This leaves Mikey, hmmm it think it depends on his performance, and his VT (if he moans, people might be less sympathetic).

Edited: Don't mean to say he moans a lot, but that the VT's seem to be concentrating on the negative bits (aches, pains) etc.

Mikey doesn't seem the moany type, does he? He strikes me as being quite genial. Or have I missed something?

Sorry it wasn't very well worded. In one of the VT's during the last few weeks, they showed him to be quite down and "moaning" about his aches and pains. Then in the Valentine's show they showed something similar until his wife turned up, and I think last week, he obviously was down for a specific reason (and Mel commented on his tough week as well). However the public might not know about these reasons, and thus perceive him as moody.

So to clarify, I don't mean to say that he does moan, but that the VT's lately have not done him any favours.

Yep, and it's a bit of a shame. Although I know about the manipulation, I still sometimes get swayed by it. I do really like Mikey, and to be truthful, at the beginning I wanted him to win. I loved him on Mr and Mrs, and I think he is such a lovely person.

For once, I agree with you gazb! I don't think Hayley is likely to face a skate-off at all unless she really messes up (though I doubt she'll win in the end)

I thnk she'll only come a cropper with regards fan support is when the number oif coples gets less - so maybe in the final 4 or 5 - bit like what happened to Bonnie Langford.

You could be right, I was think of Jess last year, or Clare Buckfield in series 2. I think Hayley's support will be tested when she's not top of the leaderboard.

I think the fact that a lot of people are saying Emily will be in the skate off means that her fans will make sure they vote.

That wouldn't surprise me. Emily seems to get a lot of votes some weeks regardless of how bad she is, especially if she is criticised at all by the judges, so I wouldn't be shocked if she avoided the bottom two on Sunday.

It would grossly unfair if Kieron was there, but I still doubt he has the same support amongst the DOI mainstream audience as Gary and Mikey do, so its very possible.

How do you know it would be grossly unfair? He hasn't even skated yet. Could be bottom of the leaderboard for all you know! Just because he's put in a few okay, and just okay to me, performances, doesn't mean he should be immune from the skate off.
