I think the fact that Danny was in the skateoff the week before was a big factor of Emily's bottom two appearance.

That and her skating well and being 3rd from bottom may have made fans think she was safe seeing as she was safe from the skate off having been in the bottom 2 skaters since week 1

Well, everything in this thread is presuming people perform as they have, obviously, given it's not Sunday. I do think it would be grossly unfair if the person who is fairly consistently doing the most technically difficult skating of all the competitors ended up in the bottom two over someone like Emily. But I know how DOI works, so I know its very possible, especially when people like Mikey and Emily are being lined up for the tour...

But don't worry, Strictly, I know your hatred for Kieron! I'm not going to try to convert you...

I hope not. I was never a fan of those two, however, I am converted.

I don't hate him. He's overrated on here, definitely, but he's been in the bottom two so I know that's just here.

I could say you hate Mikey & Gary as you seem to manage an awful lot of jibes but hatred is an awfully strong word for a contestant on an entertainment show.

I Think it's hard to say who will be bottom especially as we haven't seen them skate yet. Depends on the leaderboard. However I think the majority would probably say Emily as she is usually near the bottom of the board so there is always a chance she could be in the skate off.

Also in danger is probably Danny as I don't think he has as much public suppport and his position on the leader board also puts him in the danger zone. Saying that though Gary and Kieron have been in a skate off aswell so they could find themselves there again if they have a bad week.

Emily could get saved as she was in the skate off last week and people might pick up the phone and vote because of that and the fact she could be bottom could also get her more votes.

Going by that I would say Danny and Emily but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if Emily gets through leaving two of the boys to fight it out.

I think Hayley and Mikey are probably the safest.

I think Daniella is pretty rock-solid safe too (maybe more so than Mikey, seeing as she's generally scoring highly as well).

Do you think that will ever happen?

Anything is possible, Daniella is the revelation of the series for me (I thought she would be the 1st girl out in a shock a la the Bissix), and she keeps going from strength to strength.

Gary is improving all the time as is Kieron seems much more relaxed on the ice now and try some good moves. Mikey I think needs to a break through and fast to challenge at all at the moment, but if he does then he could topple her from the top spot.

I can't see Danny or Emily troubling the upper regions of the judges votes

Jessica was in the skate off from second on the leaderboard last year with 7 couples left so anyone from second downwards could be vulnerable going from past evidence.

Think the scores could go like this...

Hayley 7+(4 or lower - think Daniella, Mikey and Kieron are probably more popular and certain others may be too...)
Daniella 6+ (5 or higher)
Gary 5+(4 or lower - see Hayley)
Kieron 4+ (4 or higher)
Mikey 3+ (probably 7 but at least 6)
Danny 2+(2 or 1)
Emily 1+ (anything from 2 to 5/6)

This makes Danny a dead cert and of the others, Daniella, Mikey, Hayley and Kieron look safe as they all look on to score 8 or more and a score of 8 only makes them vulnerable if Emily is top with the public which aint going to happen imo. Therefore, the other place in the skate off looks to be between Gary and Emily with Emily looking more likely as she has to finish 4th or better with the public no matter where Gary finishes (if the leaderboard turns out like this).

Looks like Danny v Emily to me.

Hopefully, it will be the worst 2 on the night. So far on this year's DoI there haven't been too many cases of the best performers ending up in the bottom 2, although past experience of these sorts of shows suggests that performing well or badly on the night doesn't always mean very much when it comes to the public vote.
Based on all the performances so far I'd expect the worst performances on the night to come from Emily and either Danny or Mikey, but both Danny and Mikey have turned in occasional good performances, so who knows how they'll do on Sunday.

Im thinking Danny is a certainty, and then one of Kieran, Gary and Emily to take the other spot. I think Emily will get a rebound this week, and then will be in the bottom two and out the week after.

I'll be awfully disappointed if Gary is in the bottom two. He's way too good looking and cute to leave.

Sorry, just speculating. The first scores are what I think the celebs are likely to get from the judges. The second are what I personally think the celebs are likely to get from the public. As there is far less evidence for this, I've given a maiximum or minimum score that I thought was reasonable given (vague) evidence and my own opinion and of course I may be way out. However, I'd say they were all resonable; the one who may not be is Hayley and she's largely irrelevant as she's likely to be top and therefore safe even if she's bottom with the public (which I don't think she will be.)

Unfortunately I think it will be Danny and Emily in the bottom two. Who will go will be in the lap of the Gods. The marking of the ice panel is so erratic it could be anyone's guess. I do hope Gary Lucy doesn't go - he is developing into a wonderful skater and I don't think we've seen the best of him yet. I do think Mikey has reached the level of his potential but what do I know about skating - absolutely nothing. I just love watching the sport - especially ice-dance.

I hope Emily is in the bottom two and goes home. She's the only one I can't warm to. She has the charisma of a wooden doll. For an actress, she doesn't put any emotions into her dance and just relies on her partner.

I agree....her dancing (or arm movements) last week were a little....uncomfortable to watch. I understand why she would have fans, she has a great personality - but her skills on the ice, and with dancing are just not very good in my opinion. But she has did well!!

I think Gary Lucy is lovely off the ice and he's obviously a good skater but his performances leave me cold. I don't understand that because he's a great actor, I still remember how amazing he was in Hollyoaks and he must've left about ten years ago.

However the public might not know about these reasons, and thus perceive him as moody.

So to clarify, I don't mean to say that he does moan, but that the VT's lately have not done him any favours.”

Last week Boyzone gave their first performance since Stephen Gately died; it was two or three days before last week's show. Perhaps Mel didn't want to upset everyone by mentioning it or perhaps she thought people would know but I'm guessing that was probably the reason for Mikey's tough week. Don't forget, Stephen also did DOI so most of the people involved in the show will have known him as well and the reminder must have been hard for them all.
