We go to the London ones quite a bit when we're out shopping and want a cosy lunch - you can get pubby food or more brasserie style food. Good service, comfy, enjoy!

I have been to the one in Islington a good few times - it's great for drinks and snacks but I've not enjoyed the actual meals I have had there... I have had a proper sit down meal 3 times and had 3 diferent things from the menu. I wouldn't eat there again!!

Haven't been for a while, but the one in Bristol had a decent reputation, was always busy.

I used to go to the Oxford one regularly. I never had a bad meal there and only had poor service once in more than 10 years.

Got no complaints about Brown's whatsoever - a really nice, informal bar/restaurant. Really nice food - I've always left full, satisfied and not feeling like I've been robbed! I think you'll enjoy it!
As for the service, I honestly cannot remember what it was like meaning it was no doubt cordial but not overfriendly, efficient and unfussy. |

This has brought back memories! We used to go to Oxford Browns when I was little, it was our place to go for family dinners. Not been since my Mum passed away and had wondered if it was still open, must pay it a visit.
Although, I used to have these amazing ribs there and I'm veggie now! |

Browns is a chain and as bad as Brewer's Fayre or TGI Friday's, just avoid it.
Stay in and have a nice evening at home, you can make everything on the Brown's menu in your own kitchen for a lot less and it'll be nicer! |

Nothing wrong with having a night out with friends, but why pay over the odds for over-seasoned garbage, when you could do better yourself. Cheaper, healthier, tastier and much much more fun!

What about paying to be waited on? What about the atmosphere you couldn't recreate at home?

Why pay to be waited on when all the waiter brings you is rubbish that's either going to make you ill, or cause long term health issues.
