Ethan in Emmerdale - Whats the deal?

Does anyone know what the story is with Ethan and Debbie? I don't really believe that he will abuse Debbie in anyway as the producers have made him quite a smpathatic character.

I believe that there is something in his past that makes him relate more to Debbie than anyone else. He has made a few comments that have yet to be explored.

I hope that this is the case and that Emmerdale move on from the awful Katie/Robert and Andy storyline.

i don't think ethan is an abuser either, his care for debbie is misunderstood,i get the feeling he went off the rails as a teen before he found god.maybe someone helped him the same way he's trying to help debbie.

Ethan is great !
I can't stand the binman though. And Steph and her friend. Otherwise the show would be perfect. Wouldn't mind a few more Dingles.
