Vodafone Hassling Me
Hi,
I have been a Vodafone customer for a number of years now. For about two weeks now however, I have been receiving numerous calls throughout the day from Vodafone. When I have answered the phone, they tell me that it is only a courtesy call to check everything is ok. I tell the advisor that everything is ok and that I will call if I have any issues but the operatives insist that I confirm my details. When I refuse, they tell me that they cannot continue the call and all that they require is my PIN number, which I refuse to give. I have asked on several occasions to be removed from the outbound dialler system and still receive these calls. This evening, I spoke to a particularly awkward advisor named Alexis from Middlesborough. He would not confirm is extension number, allow me to speak to a manager or remove me from the outbound dialler. Has anybody else experienced this? |

That's not good. It's bad practice to give pin numbers to callers calling you, so I would refuse as well.
Quite right, if you want to discuss changes to your account or upgrades you can call them. If you tell them that they should stop calling, if they keep calling when you have told them not to that's not right. Not allowing you to speak to a manager after repeated calls you have asked not to receive is shocking. I'm glad you got the representatives name, now you need to write a letter of complaint to Vodafone, rather than post here. |

Also Mayber next time you get one these calls when they ask for your PIN number, give them faulse pin that you have made up (which is completly different to your real PIN of course). If the oprator accepts you know its scam and report it to Vodafone security dept |

It is quite obviously a scam. instead of moaning about them 'hassling' you, you should report it to them without further delay. |

Hi there,
Apologies that I have not been able to get to this thread sooner. Ooops - I can see why you are both frustrated by the repetitive and unwanted calls, and a little concerned about giving out your personal details to someone who has called you. I would like to take a further look into this and ensure that you are removed from all of our outbound call lists as well as investigating who has been calling you. Could you please contact Vodafone UK - Web Relations Team. (When contacting, please quote the code WRT135 in the subject line. In the main message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name.) I'm certain that we can make sure these calls are stopped and get to the bottom of where they are coming from. Thanks, Espi Web Relations Team Vodafone UK |
