I seem to remember that there's a legal problem with repeating or putting CW on iPlayer. I can't remember the details though.

Oh thats a shame... You'd think that Crimewatch of all programs would be available for catch up due to the serious nature of the program. Thanks for your reply.

Bugger, I missed it again, why isn't it shown at the same time every month like it used to be?

It is on iPlayer, but only for about 24 hours I think (instead of the usual week). Theres a legal reason for it but I've forgotten what.

But if you miss it on iPlayer, you can watch the reconstructions on the website. It doesn't show any of the stuff from the studio though I don't think.

It's currently available on iPlayer

But judging by previous comments, may only be there for another few hours...

What is the legal reason? Or is it the phone lines aren't manned?

To quote the BBC:

Crimewatch is only on BBC iPlayer for 1 day after broadcast. We always aim to offer our programmes to stream for 30 days; however for a number of reasons including technical problems, legal or contractual issues this isn’t always possible.

It must be a relief for the criminals if the show can only be seen for 24 hours however....
