Amy MacDonald -> Dont Tell Me That Its Over
I Am So thrilled that Amy has returned with such a brilliant song like this, the music video is brilliant. I have heard some other tracks on her album (using the facebook application) and they are amazing. I Love the 'This Is The Life' album but i think i will love 'A Curious Thing' even more. Im So Excited, cant wait for the album release. and also does anyone know why no one can comment on the DigitalSpy review on the song?

Absolutely love it. Became a massive fan when I lived in Germany. I just listened to the clips of the other tracks on facebook and love all of them. That was what was so great about the "This is the Life" CD - there were no fillers - you could put it on and not worry about having to skip tracks. "A Curious Thing" has a lot to live up to but it looks as if it's going to be awesome too.

Great tune from a great songwriter, I remember when she first came to prominence, a fresh young face who had bags of talent. She seems to have matured slightly although her song writing has always shown maturity, even at her young age. Hopefully she will kick on with this album and attain much success.

I really don't know much about her, or her music but I'm going to see her in Inverness in a couple of weeks. Should be a good night out, if nothing else

I'm seeing her to. Can't wait. It won't be a civilised gig (like Marina and the Diamonds- one of the last I saw - all sit/stand about and watch) Live it's proper jump about Rock Music mixed with goosebump ballads. She has an awesome voice and a fine way with words. You will be converted - I was

This Is The Life is one of my favourite ever albums, but A Curious Thing sounds like it is even better. Spark, No Roots and An Ordinary Life sound like they could all be really special songs, but the rest all sound really good too. I can't wait to hear them all in full rather than just previewing them on iTunes. Also, her live performances seem to be getting better too. Her voice is so much stronger now compared to when This Is The Life was first released. Quote:

LOVE this song-such a step up for her and def a maturing of her sound! Loved the first album but think this is gonna be even more massive. Loving the Killers vibe in this tune

'Spark' is an absolutely amazing song, surefire hit. Another Killers vibe there, too.
Was really impressed with the album on first listen; slightly less so second time round, not sure why yet. It's good though. |

Looks like this might make top 40(I'm only going on Itunes) - without an official release and without Radio 1 airplay. That would be amazing.

Spark is about Jamie Bulger, so I'm not sure it would ever get a release, particularly in light of what has happened in the last few weeks.
An Ordinary Life should be the next release. It is the highlight of the album. |

No it's not.
There's an interview she gives that explains it. |

There's an interview she gives that explains it. There was a storm of controversy after this, and she has since gone on record denying that the song is about Jamie. Whether she backtracked after being slated on twitter etc for this is anyone's guess. More likely the first interview misquoted her, but that interview is where the link to James Bulger began. |

I really love the album. Not got as many instant favourites as I had on This Is The Life (Footballers Wife, Let's Start a Band, Barrowland Ballroom were standouts from the first listen) but each track is mighty briliant. No filler here.
I hope it does well for her. Looks set for top 5 on Sunday ![]() The live CD is also fantastic (even though i already own 4 of the tracks from the deluxe edition of TITL!) |

Stargirl1 - That was in The Sun - hardly a reliable source - probably even less accurate than Wikipedia and I would never quote that as a source. In UKmix it's an actual interview.
