Much as I'm not a fan of Gary's skating, I don't want to believe he's quite that cynical...

Well I wasn't a fan in the first place. Watching him is a bit like watching paint dry, but frankly this is the latest in a line of cynical vote pulling. We've had the "cute kid" routine thrown at us ad nauseum, he's already played the injury/sickness card, so I guess it was just a matter of time before something like this. I feel sorry for his girlfriend that marrying her is dependent on winning an entertainment show! Hope the public reaction is counterproductive and frankly wouldn't be at all sorry to see him off the show as soon as possible.

Emm... Gary only mentioned India in one VT... It's not his fault if the cameraman insists on showing her after & before every routine...

And I'm unsure if Gary would have said something like that straight out. It would be interesting to know the context.

Afraid to say I have to agree, I wasn't a fan of Gary at all, I find his performances very lacklustre, but wasn't particularly against him either, but this has really swayed me tbh. He has used his child a lot which I hate, but he does seem really desperate for votes and resorting to anything he can.

He didn't just mention her in one VT, she was in the VT going on about how she didn't want her daddy to go!! And whatever the context, it is a pathetic thing to say, and planning to do it in front of millions is pretty tacky too! Surely a proposal of marriage is a private thing? Bet if he does get married it will be sold to OK or Hello too!

Okay well, you obviously have something against him so there's nothing I can say really. I just think there's a possibility the papers twisted his words.

He has mentioned his child far more than just once. I too was quite neutral before and sometimes just switched off during his "performances" but he seemed a nice enough guy although he has got more and more irritating with the sob stories for votes. This is just the latest!

He may live to regret saying he would marry his girlfriend if he won. It could well backfire on his and I hope it does. It is extremely insulting to his girlfriend, as presumably he won't bother to marry her if he doesn't win?

I have absolutely nothing again Gary per se. Just find him a bit of a nonentity really, but I started out quite indifferent. But neither am I obsessed by any of the celebrities to the extent that I start numerous threads about them.

Whenever I've read any interviews with him he always seems to mention her. They always cut to her in the audience right before he skates as well. Every. Week.

This proposal thing is dumb but it's not as bad as Gordon Ramsey saying he'd give Tana another baby if she won! Though maybe by that point he could see that was never going to happen.

He was in the bottom 2 in week 1 when he was 2nd with the judges thus must have polled the lowest amount of votes.

Since then, there has been too many people and he has been too high on the leaderboard to be in the skate off even if he polled the lowest amount of votes.

Yep It's Gary For the 3rd week in a row he skates in the last 2. Producers favourites.

FIX!!!!!! I'll switch over when he's on can't stand him.

He is only out of the bottom two because the judges ensure it by their marking both overmarking him and undermarking others. Also he gets good slots to go on as well! They do seem desperate to ensure he cannot be in the skateoff but as fewer skaters are left that won't work so well fortunately!

I still think if Gary does make the finals he will finish 3rd.

I think Marias bored with Gary tbh, but can't agree she was dull last year, certainly her and Rays routines were not dull. Unfortunately this year, their routines are dull too!
