If there's one thing I can't stand it's bloody opera, or faux opera. Why anyone finds this a pleasant noise is utterly beyond me.

And it looks like Andrew Lloyd-Webber has lost his ability to write a catchy hook.

Well I loved it, I love her voice and the performance from Jayne, Chris and the Pro skaters was very moving!

I thought it was beautiful. Then when the pro's came on with the ribbons I got a bit overwhelmed

It was very classy and sophisticated, but I couldn't help thinking it was a little too posh for DOI !

I shouldn't have watched the Gala from Vancouver last night. Against, that, this all looks like a steaming pile of poo.

There is something about Katherine Jenkins that I just can't take to her. I don't know what it is and I have to turn the volume off when she's on.

The skating was lovely, though I did hope someone might slip and slash Lloyd Webber, not impressed with the song though. Katherine Jenkins was lovely.

I feel the same, except when she talks. I love the Welsh accent so can't dislike her when she's talking - but if I see pictures of her or hear her singing, or see her autobiography in the shops ('Time to Say Hello'... I mean, seriously! ), I just get irritated.

I loved it - it was moving and emotional. Fabulous to see ALW, Katherine Jenkins and T&D all together in one shot on the telly - a dream combination.

Fabulous.

I loved Katherine and Andrei Bochelli when they perfomed "Time to say Goodbye" on SCD a couple of years ago....it was really moving!

I'm not usually a fan of opera music bit I enjoyed it. I loved the skaters interpretation and it was a classy way to open the show.

At least it kept the audience from screeching and shouting

Usually I like ALW's songs but that was a bit naff - I think he's lost it since that awful Eurovision one he wrote.

Did you really expect DOI to compare with Olympics?

I guess there's a fine line between high expectations and naïvety.
