I'm sure I have heard a very similar song to "Love Never Dies" called "Our Kind of Love" some time ago... so maybe ALW forgot he'd already written this song or has changed it a bit to make a new song for his latest musical!!!!

I don't like Katherine Jenkins' voice and I can never understand her words and it's like she sings with the back of her throat blocked up! I disliked her singing the ALW song that Sierra Boggass does so well and Sierra hits really high notes, whereas Katherine Jenkins didn't do any of the high notes on DOI tonight... very over-rated singer!

I agree. I cant stand her voice and cant understand a single word she sings......its like shes trying too hard.

And there is something a bit dodgy about her too. Maybe its the stripping off that put me off her a bit.

They played "Love Never Dies" on the radio yesterday and it was confirmed that it is a rework of "Our Kind of Love" from "The Beautiful Game". Hannah , surname I've forgotten, sung that and her voice suited the song perfectly. I think Lloyd Webber is very pretentious musically and over-rated but he has, on occasions, produced some beautiful pieces. Unfortunately "Love Never Dies" is not one of them and Katherine Jenkins has absolutely crucified it. She is a mezzo-soprano and attempted to sing a song which is completely out of her range so it sounded as if she was straining her voice and squawking. I agree with other posters that she is over-exposed and I, personally, do not like her voice. She was very pretty when she started her career but now looks like an over-peroxided blonde and very plastic. Give me Hayley Westenra any day - lovely pure voice.

The skating though, was absolutely beautiful, and I was very moved by it.

Generally i cannot stand Katherine Jenkins or the way she sings. Generally I am not a huge fan of ALW's music - never have been - however I enjoyed he performance last night. Thought it was brilliant all round.

I'm speaking of opera - real, full length opera.

Opera stars depend on accoustics - they don't need mikes.

I suppose this depends on what type of music floats your boat.

Personally, I loved it.
