David Bowie- The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spider's From Mars Radiohead- OK Computer The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead And just for a reminder, here is the Top 11! 14th- Lady Gaga- The Fame Monster 13th- Amy Winehouse- Back To Black 12th- Alanis- Jagged Little Pill 11th- Muse- Absolution 10th- Nirvana- Nevermind 9th- Muse- Origin Of Symmetry 8th- Fleetwood Mac- Rumours 7th- The Beatles- Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 6th- The Killers- Hot Fuss 5th- Oasis- (What's The Story) Morning Glory 4th- Pink Floyd- Dark Side Of The Moon 3rd-?? 2nd-?? 1st-?? So, here's how this works. The album who got the LEAST amount of points during voting will finish 3rd. Then the top two will be battling out for YOUR votes so we can crown DS' GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME! Think we better get to it then... I can now reveal the album finishing in 3rd place with just 9 points is...... |

Radiohead- OK Computer!
Yes, Thom,Johnny,Colin,Ed & Phil end in a very respectable 3rd place, they'd be pleased with that result! They represented the 90's well! Here's the closing track from OK Computer, The Tourist! |

So, here we have it, the final 2. You lot have voted to keep these albums up to the wire, but now you must vote only for only one of the two to get the top prize.
Bowie or Smiths? That is tonights question... You have until 10PM TONIGHT to PM who you want to vote to WIN. On the fence? Cant decide? Well here is The Smiths The Queen Is Dead! And here's Bowie's The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars! Happy voting!

...... ...... DAVID BOWIE- THE RISE & FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST & THE SPIDERS FROM MARS!!! Bowie has done it! His 1971 concept album has beaten off The Smiths BY A SINGLE POINT! It went all the way down to the wire! The Smiths can hold their heads up high though, they were beaten by a fantastic album! Stick around- I'll have the overall table AND the total amount of points table in a minute, you'll be in for a bit of a surprise

So, here is the Overall table looks like this;
14th- Lady Gaga- The Fame Monster 13th- Amy Winehouse- Back To Black 12th- Alanis- Jagged Little Pill 11th- Muse- Absolution 10th- Nirvana- Nevermind 9th- Muse- Origin Of Symmetry 8th- Fleetwood Mac- Rumours 7th- The Beatles- Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 6th- The Killers- Hot Fuss 5th- Oasis- (What's The Story) Morning Glory 4th- Pink Floyd- Dark Side Of The Moon 3rd- Radiohead- OK Computer 2nd- The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead 1st- David Bowie- The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spider's From Mars BUT how does this compare with the total points table? 14th- Lady Gaga- The Fame Monster 32= 32(14th) 13th- Amy Winehouse- Back To Black 37-24 =61 (13th) 12th- Alanis- Jagged Little Pill 44-21-33= 98 (12th) 11th- Muse- Absolution 63-40-49= 152 (11th) 10th- Nirvana- Nevermind 67-47-53-19= 186 (10th) 9th- Muse- Origin Of Symmetry 63-45-51-21-25= 205 (9th) 8th- Fleetwood Mac- Rumours 68-44-59-22-34-16=243 (8th) 7th- Pink Floyd- Dark Side Of The Moon 85-46-58-19-33-18-15-30-22= 326 (4th) = Oasis- (What's The Story) Morning Glory 67-55-60-33-30-17-13-30-21=326 (5th) 5th The Smiths- The Queen Is Dead 73-62-62-32-33-28-22-16=328 (2nd) 4th The Killers- Hot Fuss 74-63-67-36-45-21-19-28=353 (6th) 3rd The Beatles- Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 98-62-87-26-49-21-13= 356 (7th) 2nd Radiohead- OK Computer 84-54-61-22-31-26-14-34-25-9=360 1st David Bowie- Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust 92-74-85-41-49-32-29-23-14-40-30-17= 526 Now, obviously you need to bare in mind the fact that as the game progressed, the top points were reduced + there was a particularly "dry" patch in which there was a lack of points. It also shows that one bad week can seriously cost you ( ie The Beatles). Radiohead got a lot of its vote from being the "middle" album. On peoples lists, it was very rarely either top or bottom of their lists. Bowie was constantly top or top 3 at least, I think in the whole round of votes, he was only bottom once. Hot Fuss did so well mostly based on one member, they know who they are If we were to combine both Muse albums together, they'd have 357 points ( good enough for 3rd)What's your thoughts on this? ~~ Well ladies & gentlemen, that's it. I'd like to thank everyone who has voted, either once or through all the rounds. I'd also like to thank marsha_Cutiepie for allowing me to use her format . It's been a lot of fun!So, for one last time, here is David Bowie performing his single Starman from his DS Members #1 album of all time, THE RISE && FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST & THE SPIDERS FROM MARS! **GOOD NIGHT!!!!!** |

So glad Bowie won too, it was Ziggy or Seargent Pepper for me - so glad Bowie managed to beat off the competition in the end!
I am a big Smiths fan but am quite surprised the did so well in comp, but well done to them! Thanks for all the hard work Hutchy!

ridiculous poll. dark side is the best album out of that lot and how can you have a poll like this and not include the who? and for lady gaga and amy winehouse to be in it shows it to be completly worthless.
