Any ideas for a Polish buffet?

I've been volunteered to do the catering at my Polish grandma in law's funeral. Just wondered if anyone has any ideas on Polish food to do for the buffet? I have absolutely no idea - please help!

Those hot dog things? there are plenty of supermarkets that stock polish food nowadays, you could have a look?

Fantastic idea, thankyou! The only Polish cuisine I've ever had at grandma's was dumplings and cabbage, neither of which are particularly buffet-friendly, so I shall have a look for hot dog things

I looked at that earlier, I think most of the suggestions may be a little out of my league to be honest, but thankyou

When my Polish neighbours entertain they do loads of complicated stuff like pierogi and cabbage rolls but there are also loads of salads- potato salad with dill pickles, beetroot, soup- if you want something hot, big platters of hams and cold meats with bread rolls. any of these things would be suitable for a funeral

My absolute favourite too.

If you make them get some family or friends to help you though, they take ages to make.

Pledge with a beeswax dip, and maybe some of those Mr Sheen napkins?
