I think Daniella has improved most throughout the competition, and is a strong contender to win....I don't think Emily could ever threat Hayley's chances, and that's why the judges decided to save Daniella.
But your right, Daniella was worst in the skate off, and if the rules were like Phillip says...she should have left. |

Yes, Daniella is better than Emily but they have both improved imo. I don't like either of them, I find them very 'heavy' on the ice, very slow and unable to skate without their partners holding them up. Daniella is the worst as far as this goes, no solo skating at all yesterday. They were both boring and if Hayley doesn't win I hope it is one of the men.
I don't want to see anyone win but Hayley. She deserves it!!

Couldn't agree with you more, actually. Daniella has did absolutely NO solo skating of her own in the slightest, and is very heavy and stiff on the ice. I thought Karen's 5 was ridiculous for a performance with no solo skating.

It's pretty clear after tonight that no matter how dismal Mikey is, he's likely to get through on the public vote. He's already knocked out one skater much better than him, in Emily, but which other ones do you think he'll mean we lose before he finally goes?
I see Gary and Danny as being at particular risk of being trampled by Dr Mikey and his legions of voters. But I think there's actually a real risk he might actually win the thing if he makes the final (which he probably will), and can rely entirely on the public vote. Even Colleen didn't manage that... ![]() ![]() Isn't it about time we accepted that the public aren't always going to vote through the best dancers/skaters on shows like this? It's nothing new and it's not going to stop. If Mikey is popular and viewers want to see more of him, then that's just the way it is. |

Surely she must have, if only to do the unassisted jump?

I think Mikey deserved to go last night over Emily. The thing is, whilst at the start of the competition he was by some margin better than her, she had been improving for weeks apart from the blip she had the week Heather left, whereas he has been going backwards.
Overall though, I think the people left are the right ones. I think Mikey on his day is better than Emily ever could have been - he just needs to sort himself out and get back in the game. |

Yes, she should have gone yesterday, Emily performed better on both occasions, it just shows how pointless the skate-off is.

Mikey had a bad night technically, not entirely surprising given the fall immediately before the live show. But I think by this stage of the competition it is time to start to take into account performances overall when deciding who should go. Emily has made some small improvements, but for me she was still the least interesting to watch, her movements are still stiff and awkward and she was showing very slow improvement. Mikey has had some very dodgy moments, but overall he is usually far more entertaining to watch so this week I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt. Of course if he continues the dip into next week, then he should probably go next given the massive leap forward Danny made this week. |

Daniella was in the skate-off yesterday, and could easily have gone (she got 1 vote to leave!)
I rest my case... ![]() Mikey has scored significantly higher over the course of the series than any of the people who have gone before him. His series average is over 2 points higher than any of the other celebs who are out. Don't get me wrong, I think he's going backwards at an alarming rate and if he doesn't halt the slide he should definitely be next out. However, I think it's unfair given the stats that people are blaming him for something that hasn't happened yet - staying in ahead of better skaters - and I still find it amusing that Emily now seems to be being touted as the best thing since sliced bread when up until the last couple of weeks she was seen as utter cr*p by most (and incidentally, I've always quite liked her...) |

But she didn't go and despite Nicky's vote she was never in danger of doing so therefore you have no case.

Last night was Mikey's first time at the bottom of the leaderboard. And who knows what will happen next week. I didn't see anyone predicting Danny to be 2nd on the leaderboard this week. I also don't think Mikey will last much longer unless he improves. |

I am not getting in to who should or shouldnt have gone because its pointless however even though he was injured (much overplayed by the programme) I didnt think the routine was much worse than his previous ones and he isnt really improving. The other boys are doing bigger lifts than him and is NOW the weakest amongst those left, however he wont be going anywhere in my view as he has big public support. Unless his skating really improves he will be at the bottom or towards the bottom of the board and eventually numbers will be against him and he will end up in the skate off. However I think Daniella (judging from Saturday as Mikey and others got more votes than her) and probably at lease one of the boys will go before we get towards that stage.

I agree with you, his routine was not much worse than the previous, and he is by a LONG shot the weakest in the competition now, unfortunately the public aren't voting for the better skaters...so might as well be watching Celeb BB!! I really hope Daniella can stay ahead of him, and I hope he does go really soon, because the final will be much more exciting with him gone !!

Are you worried for Hayley? Other than Danniella being in the bottom two last week, I haven't seen much evidence for this statement.
I'm not worried for Hayley at all...I'm just getting a bit bored of watching Mikey stumble around on ice. |

Mikey has been a disapointment, I really wanted him to do well but at this stage I can't see him improving that much....has anyone heard if he is training or is he still to injured to skate?

Yes, Mikey is at the bottom of the pile now, he really needs to do well this Sunday or he could be next out unless, of course, Daniella keeps being lead around by her partner, then he might have a chance.

Mikey said on This Morning today that he was skating this afternoon I think. At least he was expecting to get his music this afternoon, before Phil and Holly told him what it was! I hope he is fit enough to train. If he does go on Sunday I would much prefer it to be on the basis of skating rather than injury.

Mikey had one bad week and that's only because he got injured. How petty are you being?

Why does he deserve to win?
He's had good days and very very bad days in training - so has everyone. But he is determind and takes on everything he has thrown at him. After his fall he could of gave up and not skated again, but he didn't. He's alot more confident and in my opinion deserves to win. And I really hope he does. |

He's been through alot what with the tragic death of Stephen. Who skated on this show in 2007, and he never got the chance to tell him he was going to skate this year. It must be so heartbreaking to lose someone as close as he was to Stephen.

I'm sorry - but I absolutely disagree with your post by a mile. If the death of Stephen is the reason your voting for Mikey...then that's wasting your money. At the end of the day, I don't think winning this competition will make everything so much better for Mikey and there is absolutely nothing in your post on Mikey's ability on the ice...which is like a camel !! I really hope he goes on Sunday, as he is no way a worthy winner in my opinion.
I hope he wins and if I'm being honest I think he has an extremely good shout, but it's not the end of the world if he doesn't. |

.I don't think I've ever seen a camel on ice - do you have footage? |
