She must have been very upset.

She said on this Morning that the taxi nearly reversed into her and her sister and she got annoyed.

Ah, but her sister didn't lose it, did she. I wish she would have had a go like that at Jason (for his biased marks and remarks yesterday).

Gosh, her reaction is a bit over the top - looks like she was using the taxi driver to vent her anger and frustration following her elimination.

To be fair, there were weeks when Emily was the worst performer but escaped the bottom two. She was lucky to last as long as she did.

I don't think it happened like that Sid - according to Emily she banged on the window to let the her presence be known.Whatever the truth of it I'd want to make the driver aware that I was there before he backed up any further.

Agreed there were weeks when she was lucky to escape elimination - but it must be frustrating to be booted off just when she was improving and clearly not the worst performer.

She irritated me initially, but I found myself warming to her recently - and I do think she showed signs of growing up.

Me too - I enjoyed her and Danny's performances this week because of their improvement and attitude.

But there were weeks when others who were better than her left just as she got booted off when there were others worse than her still in the contest. It sort of balanced itself out.

And whilst I didn't expect Emily not to react at all to the taxi driver as he was reversing, I thought she went a bit overboard.

The taxi was still reversing into her when she hit it (see the reverse lights), wouldn't you go banging on car shouting to warn it you were there if it was reversing into it??

Exactly. I've had that happen to me, also with a taxi, and I was sure he was going to keep reversing. I banged on it because I rather like having feet.

And it does get the adrenaline going leading to you feeling a bit shocked, as shown in the photos where her sister is comforting her.

If she hadn't acted as she did, I expect that headline would be reading 'Visibly Upset DOI Star Throws Herself Under Taxi After Being Voted Out'

I really liked Emily on the show. She skated well and remained elegant throughout. It is a shame she has gone from the competition.

But I enjoyed hearing kd lang's version of "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden". So I didn't mind hearing it again in the skate-off.

On This Morning Emily said it was a minor event and the newspapers were milking it, basically. She banged on the door of a taxi that was reversing into her and her sister!! What do the papers mean by "Emily lossing it" Absolutely nonsense as usual.I thought she was very brave doing her no hands lift with Fred. At the beginning Emily got on my nerves with her childish behaviour and giggling but lately she has really improved and I was enjoying her routines.

You thought she was brave doing no hands with the lift. she was being HELD by a pro skater fgs. He wasn't ever going to drop her

Sure, she said on this morning that she banged on the window to let the driver know that she was there, but from the picture it looks like she is really annoyed and angry. If a car was reversing into me, I would use my hands or fist to bang on the window....not my elbow!!!

If she didn't hold herself properly and didn't go up into the lift properly balanced, Fred would have struggled to hold her and yes, he could have dropped her!

Emily wasn't the worst skater this week and got knocked out; she was the worst skater on other weeks and escaped the skate off. What goes around comes around. Disappointing for her, but fair overall.

Agreed. Her reaction is well OTT. No need for that.

There's no need to bang on the window of a taxi in order to stop getting herself runover??? I think I would have reacted in the same fashion tbh!

Dear dear, we can't believe everything in the papers as they say it!
cant believe the pictures in the sun! they're very clever on how they make a situation look like something it wasn't!ah well..shopping time
That's a tweet from Emily ^^

If I was with my younger sister & I thought a taxi was going to run us both other I would react like that as well - banging on the window and telling them to get their act together

In the interests of fairness, just as we shouldn't automatically believe everything we see in the papers, nor should we automatically believe everything we read on twitter.

fair point But I would personally prefer to believe something that Emily has said herself on twitter and in a interview, I think on This Morning- rather than something I read in the Sun!!
