fair point But I would personally prefer to believe something that Emily has said herself on twitter and in a interview, I think on This Morning- rather than something I read in the Sun!!
Of course. Anyone who likes her would, and I'm not saying that I disbelieve her. Just playing devil's advocate and pointing out that the other way to look at it would be 'she would say that, wouldn't she?'

Could it not be a combination of the two things?

She might have had a valid reason to be upset with the taxi driver, but under normal circumstances and if she had gone through, she might have reacted a little bit less forceful (of course I don't know her). I think if I had been booted off, I would be slightly more emotional or volatile than if I had gone through. She definitely seemed very emotional at the end, and this might have led her to behave more angry than normally.

Yes, that may well be the truth of the matter - it seems quite likely to me - but I guess we will never know.

It's just the tabloids hyping up a bit of a non-event.

Surely we're smart enough to know how they twist these things.

No fan of Emily, but this story is pretty transparent.

And, even if it were true, it's no big deal.

Of course - I am not saying I believe Emily or The Sun- like you say we'll never know what happened to a true extent, but as the taxi looks very close to Emily's legs, and the cars reverse lights are on , it does seem like the car may not have seen her , and therefore Emily could have reacted in the way most people who value their legs would!
But like lach doch mal says- she was very clearly in a more emotional state than she may have been had she gotten through!

Agree ^^ none of us know her, or know what happened- so I think it's a bit harsh for people saying 'there was no need for this behaviour' etcetc- I doubt she just went up to the taxi and hit it, if it wasn't coming towards her lol. But then I guess people can say i'm being biased as I have tried defending her! Yes I do like her, but i'm in no way a big fan or anything

Yup exactly- it's such a non story it's quite laughable really- must have been a slow news day or something!
She does look pretty angry at the taxi on that picture though

Nothing wrong with defending her anyway, and I never meant this thread as a "bashing" thread (and I'm pleased it hasn't turned into one). From a psychological point of view, I find it interesting how people behave in certain circumstances, particularly if they are under stress or if they had a setback. To be fair, if I had been Emily I would have given Jason a piece of my mind (because of his batant bias against her).

Sure, she said on this morning that she banged on the window to let the driver know that she was there, but from the picture it looks like she is really annoyed and angry. If a car was reversing into me, I would use my hands or fist to bang on the window....not my elbow!!!
You say that now but it depends on your reflexes. You would use anything to protect yourself so for Emily at that precise time, it was her elbow.
