I noticed my first grey hair standing up at the front of my head at the grand old age of 30. Now at 42 they are rampant, mainly around my hairline. My hair is naturally black.

I have been dyeing my hairline for the last two years, but in two weeks the white/greyish specks start to show. I have decided to heck with it and embrace the grey.

At what age do you think it is acceptable to "embrace the grey".

I dyed mine since I was 30 and two years ago decided to give up the greys were winning anyway ! Now at 48 I am quite comfortable with my hair and really wish I had not started dying it. All that money and time I could have spent on something else !

I'm still waiting for my first grey hair but as soon as they start springing up I will be dying my hair (for the first time in my life!!!)

The OH has been going grey for years now bless him, luckily for him it looks quite sexy on him - I wouldn't fancy him dying his hair tbh?? Men can get away with grey much more than women can (IMO)

I'm 46 and don't consider it a waste of time. I love a visit to the hairdresser and a bit of pampering.

The times I've done it myself I've ended up with dye all over the bloody bathroom.

I think it looks fine on men too

I think if women have long hair they should dye it as long staggley grey isn't the best look.

I have to say it was a bit of a shock at the time, you never imagine yourself as ageing. I havent got a problem with my body, but fighting the greys are getting a bit tiresome

I bleached my mousy blonde hair blonde for 20 years, then went natural mid brown at 35. I got my first grey hair last year at the age of 44. My hair is still nicely dark but if it starts looking a shabby salt n pepper colour, then I will decide whether to darken the greys or go back to my dyed white blonde shade. My stepdad went pure white naturally and it was lovely.

My OH started to go grey at 35 and was naturally dark blonde but it looked like highlights. Now he has a lovely white grey shade.

My mum was a natural brunette and she tried a white blonde wig on and it looked terrible. She dyes her hair black (like Carla from Corrie) and it looks great.

Yep, short ones okay, which is why I think men can get away with it but the long hair just don't look great to me, sorry

My OH and I both have black hair, he is five years younger than me and now has a lot of grey streaks and it really suits him! I have a few, they actually look okay and I am not too fussed about dyeing it. I'll see how it goes. I would hate for him to dye his though, thankfully he wouldn't even consider it.
