I had KFC yesterday and I'm having it again tonight.

I don't care what anybody says, it's chuffing gorgeous.

Ok Cream Cookie. Nobody knows me on this part of DS - but those who do realise that 9 times out of 10 I'm only having a joke (well unless someone's really got up my nose I suppose!)

It was great thanks, obviously frozen scampi and frozen chips but it tasted great and went lovely with a pint.

I love KFC, great food at very cheap prices.

No doubt someone will be on in a minute telling us how they fry their own organic chicken at home.

Do you drink much

When I was at uni, many years ago, studying marketing I remember one of my lecturers saying that 70% of KFC's business was single males after 10pm to which I responded "so KFC's business model is based on pissheads"

Either your lecturer is stupid or you are gullible.

Depends whether you have a preference for dry overcooked chicken or like it moist.

My point still stands. Do you really believe what your lecturer told you?

Oh dear, it seem slike someone has had a humour bypass. It is not important if I believe it to be true or not I merely told it as a flippant story to question those who like KFC

Typically, based on your track record you have to get all anal. I'm surprised you have time to come onto a forum considering your cooking everthing to perfection as you repeatedly like to inform everybody of your superior dietary habits and excellent cookery skills. Then again you probably have all the time in the world as I suspect you have few friends

Yes, I might agree if the lecturer had said Kebabs.

I could actually give you a recipe for home fried organic chicken, and for a decent coating if you like.

But mine is not NEARLY as good or as satisfying than if you just popped out to your local KFC.

For a start, you don't have to cook it for yourself if you go to KFC and I find my stress levels are a lot less and I enjoy my food a lot more under those circumstances.

I don't have a problem with home cooking, I was merely saying that Tommy Gavin's little digs are no better than the so called food snobs he dislikes.

Whenever I drive past my local KFC male customers inside vastly outnumber female and often there are no women in there at all.

I think all this food snobbery is ridiculous. Fair enough to be concerned about what you put in yours and your family's mouths but why critisize and belittle others on a discussion board?? And I often wonder if they would do the same to people in the street - can't really see them running into a KFC and shouting about how much better it would be to make it themselves at home!

I love food, I work for a celeb chef and I love making food from scratch and admittedly I buy organic when I can and local and seasonal ingredients and take great pride in cooking things ranging from a roast dinner to cakes to coq au vin to Chinese food to curries but there is something about feeling so pooped after work, putting your feet up, dialing the phone and sinking your teeth into a gungy, salty hunk of pizza and washing it all down with an ice cold Coke.

Bully for you if you treat your body like a temple and save oodles of money from not buying 'convenience' food but don't belittle others who do. Food in all its forms is there for us to enjoy and I love this forum coz of the wide range of foodey topics but it really irks me when people just annoy others for the sake of it.
