Davina On Parky
swingaleg
24-04-2004
I saw bits of this tonight, and inter-alia ( oops )

.......The whole BB team were amazed at the publicity Nasty Nick got. The GBP, throught their representatives in the tabloid press, were making it clear that we like to see people stick to the rules and play the game fair

.....Jade is not 'a victim' ............and Parky should have her on the show ( fat chance - Ed. )

...what they are looking for this year is not sex, but romance...........more of a Helen & Paul story is the aim

I was flicking over to 'Stars' and Frankie Howard and the news so might have missed something

Oh and for those that are interested, Davina also talked about some other stuff, a bungee jump, and she looked OK, well pretty hot really

Watching her on that show just reminds me that its a shame she is going to present the new Big Brother. Same old boring stuff drom the dull D.

I thoughtthe interview was great,I think it's the first time we have heard about her younger days when she ''went off the rails'' I think she should write a book!
In my opinion she is a fantastic presenter, and Big Brother without Davina just wouldnt be the same!!

I'm not a fan and I didn't bother to watch the interview.

I can't see any BB romance this year matching the Jordan/Andre thing from IAC so I think they'd be better not to try.

They should follow my suggestion and only put people in the show who are genuinely witty. If it's funny, I'll watch.

I wouldn't call the Jordan/Andre thing a romance, both are publicity-hungry and, although I'm sure they didn't plan what "happened", they saw it as an opportunity to up their profiles. Peter Andre in particular is very false.

Well said. That 'romance' IMO is completely fake. It's all about their bank balances.

Doesn't matter whether its fake or not, its high-profile and relatively interesting. There's no chance a BB "romance" will match it.

Actually, I think it is genuine. I'm partly persuaded by my initial absolute scepticism about Sophie and Lee - I was certain that was a put on!

Peter and Jordan seem much more genuine to me, so I'm happy to give them the benefit of the doubt. I also like the way they enhance the soapiness of celebrity circles. Their various past relationships increase the fun of the scene considerably IMO. I'd love to be there when they (separately or together) meet up with Gareth, Tania, Posh, Scott, etc.

I wish they'd start a fly on the wall on them both.

darling - What do you mean, there's no chance any BB romance could match the Jordan/Andre one? The Helen & Paul romance was way more popular!

Also, I don't really think IACGMOOH will be as popular when it returns. The only people who go on it are desperate z-list celebrities who want to revive their career. Who the hell is left to go on it?

More popular with who?

BB2 had the least viewers of any of the BBs and was shown on the relatively little watched C4 whereas IAC had the most viewers of any reality show and it was on ITV1. A & J have made loads more £s and had masses more coverage that H & P - which reflects the media's opinion of popularity because they print what they think sells.

So how can you think H&P were more popular?

Unless you mean that you liked them best - which I'm happy to concede.

I do agree though that IAC4 is likely to have problems. But that's because its very difficult to live up to a stunning predecessor. BB4 had the same problems, of course.

I know most people on here think that BB3 was the best series, but I hated it and rated BB2 far far above it. I loved BB2 and the romance betwewen Helen and Paul had me enthalled and they are the only BB contestants that I still look out for information about.

Another unpopular view, but I also agree with whiteribbon and think that BB just wouldn't be the same without Davina. I hope she continues to present the series for as long as it is on the air.

That's fair comment.

There are lots of people on here (core BB fans) who rate BB2 as the best series - and that's perfectly fair opinion.

What it demonstrably wasn't, was the most popular - by any measure.
