I went completely off these years ago as I found them too sweet - but recently I've rediscovered them.

I tend to try to bite the top off of mine, then lick out the filling - which never really works and I end up in a hell of a mess!

if you don't end up in a mess then it's not worth eating one! I envy you, I used to end up in a mess eating one, but now I can fit one in whole! They are one of the few things I remember from childhood that actually still taste as good, they've just shrunk a bit!

They used to do a version called (I think) Tartan Eggs with a chocolate fondant middle. They were lush.

I bite the top off mine, hold it in my mouth until it goes soft, then chew it. Next I lick the filling out. Then I take bites from the hollow shell and proceed as for the top.

But only in private.

Too late to edit, but the chocolate-filled ones were called Border Creme Eggs.

I'm not really into them, but my hubby can get a whole one in his mouth and thats usually what he does. Yuck!

I was completely put off by their advert a while back, showing the pregnant woman dipping a chip into her cream egg. Havent touched the things since.

I bite the top off and scoop the fondant out with my little finger, then put the shell of the egg in my mouth and let it melt.

My name's Saz and I'm disgusting.

Used to like them when I was a kid but now I find the filling teeth numbingly sweet!
I could eat a hollow one but then I might as well just buy an Easter egg..

I haven't had one for years - but they look so much smaller when I see them sitting on the shop counter these days than I remember.

I bite the top off, lick out the inside of it, and then eat the chocolate.

Alternatively, a few weeks ago I put Jelly Tots inside a Creme Egg. It's quite messy, but not as bad as I expected.

I always wished that a Creme Egg easter egg would be a full sized easter egg, filled with the fondant.

Just gimme a spoon an i'd be off!!!

Well, I like to suck the top of mine, until a small hole appears that you can suck some of the cream from. Then I'll nibble on the chocolate whilst licking the centre. When I've only got a bite-size piece left, I pop it in my mouth and let it melt away... All whilst taking sips of hot tea...

Now, that's the only way to eat it...

My god, I really want a Creme Egg now!!!

I am shocked and ashamed to hear you say this.

Luckily, I've already decided what Easter Egg you're getting.

(PS: Aaaagh, I replied to this the minute after you wrote it, now I look like I'm stalking you! )

Shop bought Creme Eggs?

I always make mine from scratch at home. Cheaper, tastier and more healthy than the mass produced ones.

When I was 8, I ate 24 at a time. Haven't touched them since, but I'm sure it was worth it!
