I'm looking for a new mobile phone...

Basically, I have been perfectly happy with my old Ericsson t28 for years now, and it has given up the ghost a couple of weeks ago. I am now looking at getting a new mobile. I use it very rarely (I only send a couple of texts every few days) and calls are only very short and infrequent, but I do need a mobile phone in case I need to contact someone, or be contacted. I don't care about fancy new things like cameras (I've got a perfectly good digital camera thank you ) or games (I've got a perfectly good computer at home and a nice Sony Clie with plenty of games on it thank you ). What I wouldn't mind is having GPRS if it could be connected to my Sony Clie (I have got a PEG-TJ25, it has got an Infra Red connector, no bluetooth) so I could possibly check train times and things on the move.
I thought that maybe a Sony Ericsson would be good for connectivity with my Clie, and the menu interface would be similar (even if only vaguely) to my old (and dearly loved!) t28. Is this the case?
Also, networks. I definitely want a Pay As You Go deal. I looked around on the carphonewarehouse website and I couldn't find a table comparing the costs of the different networks, does anyone know if one of these exsists? I am pretty sure I remember seeing one a while ago. What network would be good for me? Many of the people I phone are on different networks, most of the people who phone me have free minutes that can call any network.
Also, while on the o2 website I read that calls to mobile on o2, but to people who had transfered their numbers from another network, were charged as calling another network. That seems really unfair to me, do other networks do the same thing? Becuase if they don't then I definintely want to avoid o2... I will also be wanting to transfer my old number from vodafone (unless I stil with vodafone).
Can anyone give me any advice? Ideally I don't want to spend any more than £130, but the cheaper the better!

Phones are really a personal choice these days, my advice is browse around, find one you like, read a few reviews, then find out which network it will be cheapest on and buy it!

As for GPRS etc, I can sell you an o2 SIM with 300 free texts and WAP minutes (given to you providing you top the phone up £10 each month), it also enables you to use GPRS for free (i.e. you basically put the SIM in your phone, download the o2 active settings from o2.co.uk and connect, even works with £0.00 credit on your phone).

£5 in cash or £4.50 PayPal, these were free for a time I know but are now back to £9.99 on the o2 site.

Roflmao Hahahahaha.

Go with SE - they come with all the connectivity options you need - I suggest a t610 or T630 as they come with everything and are dirt cheap on contract, tho more exspensive on PAYG
