Fantasy Dinner Guests

Who would you have round your table to spend an evening with and cook for?

Personally, I think Stephen Fry must be a great guest - and if it didn't have to be somebody living I would choose Marilyn Monroe. I was sad to hear of the death of Rose Gray from The River Cafe - she must have been extremely knowlegable about food and cooking.

Could you limit your list to 3? Or would you need 5? or even 7?

Well today it would definitely be Kristian Digby.

My dream dinner party : I would have
Kristian Digby. (fun factor)
Barack Obama (I think he would be interesting)
Clarence Mitchell (because of my interest in The Mccann case)
Christian Kane (eye candy)
Summer Glau (eye candy for hubby)
Jules Hudson
Alastair Appleton (to discuss "Escape to the Country")
David Cameron (to decide if I want to vote tory in the G.E.)
Kate Adie (loved her books, like her as a journalist)
Neil White (great author, friend of mine)

That would make 12 including me and hubby!

Some of my guests are dead.

The Durrell Family in the Corfu years in Corfu would be fun. So I would need a time machine.

Elizabeth David as I love her cookery books

Nigella Lawson as she has the personality I like.

Sal Mineo

Deric Longden and his wife Aileen Armitage plus their cats.

Caligula as he would be interesting

Which ones don't you know - I can educate you

You know how important it is that you are knowlegeable, even about things you dont' want to be knowledgeable about.

My biggest fantasy guests would be my parents, who have both passed on.

As far as famous folks go:

Georgia O'Keeffe - Artist
Jimmy Carter - Former US President
Jackson Browne - Songwriter and Singer/Pianist
Salma Hayeck - Actress

Dave Gorman - Because he makes me laugh!
Simon King - I'd like to hear the stories about safaris and animal adventures he's been on
Heston Blumenthal - He fascinates me
Stephen King - Just because he seems like he's be a great guest!

but none of us are really real in real life.

We all have 3 heads and boils all over our bodies - and cannot be seen out in daylight....
