WHY FOR HEAVENS SAKES, us men are meant to be hairy gorillas.

How are there loads of pubeless men appearing on your Skype by the way ? haha. Can I get naked women on mine ? ”

I don't watch porn either. Just try being female on Skype, you'll get tons of blokes looking for cam sex, they all have erection profile pics & not a pube in sight.

Anyhoo, think it's a younger persons thing to be shaved, male or female.

I don't think it's just models... I think attitudes towards pubes in general have changed. I shave/wax all of mine off, and most of my friends seem to do the same.

Doesn't that look weird though ? Maybe it depends on if you have large labia or not. The first landing strip fanny I saw was in 1994, and it was Pamela Andersons, I remember thinking it looked like a mini mohican. I guess I can blame her then, as it was only a matter of time before it went from that to getting it all shaved off.

What, in Australia?”

No - that's "down under".

Do you and your friends all compare pubes then?

Um, I don't know really! I prefer the look of it when it's grown out slightly, so not totally bald. I don't quite have porn star bits, as my labia do protrude a bit, but I guess if they didn't and I was shaved as well, it may look extra pre-prubescent! I don't really think 'fannies' are that nice looking anyway, but I do feel cleaner with that hair gone.

And no, Artymags, we don't 'compare', lol. But as eighteen year old girls, we do talk hair removal sometimes. And we've ascertained that we all shave down below!

Until recently I never used to remove my downstairs hair. I'm not a particularly hairy person anyway so didn't have an excessive amount down there anyway and my previous boyfriends all liked me 'natural'.

Personally I think that area generally looks better with some hair (trimmed though probably!) and am not keen on the hairless look... however my current boyfriend doesn't agree and insists on me having a full 'hollywood' wax.

Shame, I would be like your previous boyfriend, I think natural is best, or if very hairy then just a nice neat triangle. I suppose men are bound to differ on what they like. Obviously for oral hairless is best, or very thinly trimmed, but visually sexy I think hair is best.

Really? I know what my g/f would tell me to do if I insisted she had that!

I prefer the more natural look as I find it womanly and attractive. Trimmed though - appearing to have half an ounce of Old Holborn sticking out your knickers isn't a great look. It's all down to personal preference I suppose.

Personally, I prefer to get rid of it all completely.. I've tried letting it grow before but just feel uncomfortable and weird about guys seeing I have hair down there can't really explain it.. I've been shaving it off since it started growing actually

Yes, he insisted. The first night we spent together he told me to make sure I shaved next time!

He just has strong views/preferences on some things which I don't have particularly strong views on... so I see no real reason why I shouldn't let him have his way!

That's a bit cheeky, lol...I wouldn't have the nerve to say something like that!

Fair enough though, if you're not bothered. I guess it just becomes part of the routine!

God I find this so depressing, I hope you're not still with this jerk?

Until him I'd never have listened to a man who told me what to do (in fact, I'd probably have done the exact opposite!).

He's different though and yes, we're still together. He just has a few very strong preferences (one of which is an aversion to any pubic hair). I only have a mild-to-moderate preference towards keeping the hair so I don't see the point in arguing about it.

We plan on staying together forever so I have to just get used to it

I hope you insist on him having a few painful procedures done for you too then. Fair's fair.

Gee. How on earth did full-blooded men cope with their women-folk's "natural" look before all of this? Tidied is one thing, but fully-shaven air-brushes out the "nasty" bits *shock* horror* Also - completely shaven echoes the pre-pubescent state, and that is kind of disturbing....

Noooo, come on girls, let it grow, it is there for a reason It looks much more womanly and feminine to have a patch of hair down there.

Oohhh ladies (and men) please don't shave!! Wax is so much neater and lasts longer....plus you don't get the regrowth itching. Waxing hurts a little but the smarting only last for about 20 seconds.

I leave mine as it is. If a bloke is repulsed by something which is perfectly natural, then he's not the man for me.

I prefer the shaved look for fantasy, ie porn. In a porn model, I want to see exactly how his body is delineated in every contour, in specific detail. That's why I'm looking at it in the first place, bodies are sculpture. I don't want horrid wiry dirty densities of pubic and/or bodily hair everywhere inhibiting such exploration of the trained eye.

But the whole point about fantasy is 'inacheivable perfection', ie an escape from reality. I'm more than happy with what happens between myself and other people in reality, and have no desire to project exclusive notions of fantasy onto my criteria for accepting such opportunities as and when/where they gratefully arise.
