Why has this stuff become so popular?

Go to a Cafe, 'proper' Fry-up/Builder's Cafe and I have to have this stuff in my Tea or Coffee.
I've tried protesting/moaning and asking for proper milk, but it seems I'm wasting my time.
I don't like semi-skimmed gives me the trots, plus it's like milk 'lite' doesn't taste right.
I can't be the only person who doesn't like Semi-Skimmed can I?

I like semi-skimmed milk Prince Monalulu. I don't like full cream, as I find it to rich and thick.
A customer in a shop where I used to work would only buy skimmed.

I'm so used to semi-skinned now that full-fat milk doesn't taste at all right now, not in tea anyway.

Agreed.

I only like full fat in my lattes and homemade hot chocs at night. But I very rarely buy it (in fact I can't remember the last time I bought it!) so I'm actually talking shiz.

I don't like semi-skimmed. I'll only drink fully skimmed milk.

Semi-skimmed is still too thick for me. I makes me heave.

I can and do have full fat milk in coffee. But tea and cereal and even on its own, I have to drink skimmed.

i agree, i can not stomach skimmed milk - its got to be whole milk.

Why does skimmed cost the same as whole milk? Surely the extra processing should make skimmed milk more expensive.

Same here - fully skimmed fat free milk only for me.

I don't mind semi-skimmed in coffee but I hardly ever drink coffee anyway.

I don't like semi - can only drink skimmed these days because anything else tastes too heavy.

I can only just bear skimmed milk in tea, hate coffee anyway, also can't stand cream, ice cream or custard. When I'm away in a hotel and have no choice but full cream milk I can really taste the fat, yuck!!

skimmed milk looks vaguely grey- like its watered down. I miss the cream on the top of the milk- as kids we would scrap over it on our frosties.

I am used to semi skim now and enjoy it ice cold. Cravendale is best as it lasts for ages.

I only drink semi-skimmed in tea, and on cereal, and on its own... find if i drink too much on its own that I get a bloated feeling.

I feel the same.

I only take a tiny amount of milk in my tea; if I'm offered tea from someone and I think they might

1) Have full-fat milk or
2) Put too much milk in

then I say I take my tea black.

I would happily take skimmed milk, but my OH would prefer full-fat, so semi-skimmed is a compromise.

Ive always preferred semi skimmed.
When I was younger I didnt like full fat milk as I couldnt stand that skin that formed on top of my hot chocolate.

I agree with you. Anything more than skimmed does seem heavy and milk-shake like, if that makes sense.

I can't stomach skimmed or full fat.

Semi skimmed is just right for me.

I buy full fat to make paneer cheese though

I am in complete agreement with the OP. Why doesn't anybody drink whole milk anymore? Bunch of nesh bastards.

Oh and another thing - whole milk is not "full fat" milk for christ sake.

This country.

I've had semi skimmed for as long as I remember so anything else tastes weird.

Not keen on skimmed it leaves a funny taste/feeling in the back of the mouth. Usually use semi-skimmed or more recently 1% milk.
