Channel 4 On Demand and Youtube, amongst others, work fine for me but BBC iplayer doesn't.

The audio's OK on the BBC iplayer but the video is a just a series of still images that are not synced with the audio stream; lagging a few seconds behind all the time.

Why is this and what needs to be done to fix it, please?

I used to have the same problem until I got a new computer (a bit drastic, I know) which had a much faster processor.

However you could try right-clicking on the iPlayer screen, which will take you to Flash settings. Sometimes adjusting these helps.

There is a Help link on the iPlayer page and one of the FAQs is something like "Why is playback jittery?". Try the instructions given there.

I'll try that...not buying a brand new computer, mind you, I meant the other stuff.
