Mikey finds Jason "hilarious"
lach doch mal

[quote]Graham explained: "Some of his put-downs are hilarious, where he gets them from I don't know. But I wouldn't like to be on the receiving end because they can dent your confidence.[quote]

I think this is a bit contradictory. How can he say that Jason's put downs are hilarious if he doesn't want to be on the receiving end, particularly as he is one of the contestants. So as soon as Jason is attacking him, he won't find it hilarious anymore?

I like Mikey, but I found this a bit disappointing (if the interview is a true reflection of what Mikey said and if he really defended Jason).

Hmmmm, yeah same. If, as you say, it IS a reflection of what he said... I'm paranoid about everything since Sharrongate and the sensationalist cackness last week, but if it's true it smacks of 'I think you're really funny Jason, be nice to me!' type sentiments... Not what I've come to expect from Mikey

Oh I don't know - I can see where he's coming from. Some of them have been quite funny looking on but you wouldn't want them directed at you.

I don't include the ones where he has been downright over the top rude but some have made me laugh but I wouldn't want to be the one getting them.

Yep I agree, you cannot believe everything on here (and some of these digi journalists seem to get their information from the gossip on the threads).

Oh I completely understand that some may find it funny, and if Mikey had said it as a guest on the Friday show, without being a contestant, I would have had no issue with it. However, if you are a contestant, it's weird to say "well it's funny as long as he doesn't direct it at me". That's just weird. As a contestant he should always be concerned that Jason might direct his malicious comments at him as well, and have sympathy with the person who was at the receiving end.

I don't think it's really contradictory. Jason has been one of Mikey's biggest supporters, and has always been effusive in his praise for him 'doing it for Steo!' (have a read of some of his comments in the papers), or, as in last week, making excuses for his awful skating and performances. Mikey knows he won't really be on the receiving end, so he can watch the other contestants suffering Jason's abuse and find it all terribly amusing.

Every insult directed at the others helps Mikey's chances of winning, so it's no surprise he thinks Jason is great.

Ah! So that's why he has always praised him to the skies. I often wondered why it was, when he is not a good skater.
If that is indeed the reason, what an awful judge he is. Well, I mean, I knew he was a terrible judge already, but that is even more confirmation of his ridiculous prejudices for or against contestants.

If the report is true, and I do hope it isn't, then Mikey should be ashamed of himself. Firstly for thinking Jason Gardiner is funny in the first place when the man is graceless, spiteful, arrogant, conceited and offensive and secondly for thinking it is funny when Gardiner verbally attacks someone else and thirdly hoping it is not done to him. Sounds very hypercritical to me - i.e. you can dish it out to anyone else but please don't dish it out to me. It is funny when you do it to others but it is not funny when you do it to me. Very twisted logic. If it is true I hope he goes out this Sunday - he is the weakest skater now anyway.

If this article is true....then I've lost a lot of respect for Mikey. It's only funny if it's not directed at himself ??? Think he needs to go and think some things over....

With luck Jason's less than intelligent sarcasm will be directed at Mikey some time soon - let's see how hilarious he finds it then.

The baddies on some reality show panels can be cutting and amusing in equal measures.

Jason just comes across as a bitch. He has zero charm.
