Orange MMS using Motorola v500 (PAYG)
Hi
I got a v500 yesterday on Orange PAYG. I've been with them for a few years and got the guy to put all my phone numbers onto my new SIM etc etc. I've taken a few pics with the camera but I can't send them (to e-mail addresses OR other mobiles). Every time I try, I get a msg back saying they've failed. Is there anything I need to do to set this up? I've got 30 free picture msgs to send for the next month and that's been set up on my phone but what other settings do I need to fiddle with? Also, anyone know how to connect to my PC using Bluetooth? What bits and pieces do I need to buy to achieve this? Finally, anyone know any good sites where I can get free or cheap ringtones for this phone? thanks in advance Suze

I had the same problem with my sagem myx6 on Orange. I phoned them about 3 times and each time they just told me the MMS settings and the same thing. After that it really began to annoy me so they then told me to visit an Orange shop and ask someone to test it to see if it was the handset or the sim, turns out it was the sim.
So I then rang Orange again and after reading somewhere, jsut told them that I think MMS needed activating on my sim card and finally they sent the sim updates and it was working. So after they go through all the settings with you and it's still not working, request they send the sim updates to activate your sim card. |

Thanks for your help. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they'll send the SIM updates straightaway - I only bought the phone yesterday so I don't think it's an unreasonable request (although we all know what "customer service" is like these days)! Suze Quote:

Cheers. I now have the problem sorted and I can send pics to my heart's content. I had to call them twice though. The first time, the guy insisted that my SIM didn't need updating and kept sending me the same settings I had downloaded from the website. The second time I got an equally incompetent woman but at least she actually read her instruction manuals and found the answer to the problem.
