As usual the news in the newspaper got overlooked - Kate has auditioned for Heart? Heart are the people who are doing notably better than Capital and provide their major competition. Kate was better (by audience aclaim anyway) in the capital late evening slot than Steve Penk - who was reported to be unable to provide the sort of interactive radio Capital wanted before he became an ex-Capital DJ. Kate's Loaded piece says she likes doing late radio. Capital now has Margherita Taylor in that slot who is notably duller than Penk was and ought to be in an afternoon or evening time-slot. If Capital are not giving her a job, Kate could make it rather costly for them if Heart did take her on in the late slot. Right job, right person. Wonder if she will get it.

I've been visiting this forum for about a year. Never felt that I wanted to join in. It was very entertaining with lots of friendly banter between the members with the occasional 'light' argument.

The atmosphere really has changed these last few weeks. So here I am trying to make a more measured contribution in the hope that others, maybe, will follow.

I have also visited BB Fans but I have never joined as it is quite clearly a site for youngsters with all those jumping smilies and things.
