The loving kind is my fav song from GA. Never knew that. I probs didn't recognise the names on the album booklet

I have a fact

Dr Luke seems to have a thing for Pop rock females. He has written songs for Pink, Avril, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and most recently Kesha. He co wrote and produced Kesha's collabs with Flo rida which were Right Round and Touch me. He also wrote and produced Kesha's collab with Pitbull which is called Girls. He co wrote and produced's Paris Hilton's Nothing in this world which has Kesha doing the background vocals. I take him and her are good friends.

He also wrote and produced Britney's Circus song and the songs Shattered glass and Lace and leather. He also co wrote and produced three songs from Sugababes's change album. The tracks are About you now, Suprise and Open the door.

Closest sales between number 1 and 2 has to be the week Steve Miller Band the Joker went to number 1, Dee Lite Groove is in the Heart was number 2 but both records sold the same! Steve Miller got number 1 as he had gained the greatest sales increase that week, chart rules have since changed so this wouldnt happen now.

Frankie Goes To Hollywood held the number 1 and 2 spots in the same week with their first two singles, when Two Tribes hit number 1, Relax climbed back up to number 2.

Not sure on this one but Celine Dions Think Twice was (maybe still is) the slowest climber to number 1 on consecutive weeks, hitting number 1 on its 16th chart week.

In mins and secs is Oasis All Around The World the longest running number 1 or was there an edit on any format?

Mika wrote Boyzone's current new single

Kelly Clarkson was against releasing Already gone due to sounding too much like Halo.

As mentioned before, Xtina wrote her Kelly's song Miss Independant. Weirdly enough, the song lost out to Xtina's Beautiful at the grammy's for best pop vocal performance.

Breakaway (the song) by Kelly clarkson was written by Avril Lavigne. It was recorded for the Princess diaries sequel.

Since you been gone became the first second digital single to sell over a million copies. Originally the song was written for Pink and then passed to Hilary Duff.

Behind these hazel eyes was an original working title for her Breakaway album

Never again is apparently inspired by the end of her relationship with David hodges, a former member of Evanescence.

Pink originally wanted to call her Funhouse album the title of "Heartbreak is a mother****er"

Rihanna originally wanted to call her Rated R album the title of "I'm such a ****ing lady"

The whole of Jesse mccartney's Departure album is about his former relationship with actress Katie Cassidy.

Mariah Carey never toured till her third album. She had major stage fright.

Mariah was denied the power to produce her own songs in her first album. She was allowed to do this for her second album onwards.

Vision of love is about how she felt towards to her parents divorce and people's attitudes towards her that she had a black dad and she was white.

Mariah Carey once stated in an MTV interview that she dislikes the song "I don't wanna cry" from her first album. She felt it didn't have a message and tries as possible to rarely ever sing it in her tours

I'll be there was a last minute edition to Mariah's Unplugged setlist. It was also the song that finally gave her success out of the US.

One sweet day is inspired by the death of a producer and guitarist who was close to Mariah. When Boys 2 men got involved, they were inspired by the murder of their road manager.

Butterfly was written when Mariah's marriage to Tommy Matolla ended. The lyrics were written so that in her mind, he would someday say those words to her.

The album butterfly is listed as one of the album you must listen to before you die.

Heartbreaker was originally written by Mariah for a movie project but the project was postponed. She spent three months working on her Rainbow album but spent the most time working on this track.

It's like that was one of the last tracks to be recorded for her Mimi album. It was only added as L.A Reid felt the album was missing something so he asked her to write two more songs. The second was We belong together.

Fly like a bird is Mariah Carey's fav song from the Mimi album.

I was watching an interview with Leona Lewis and she revealed that Simon cowell has a writing credit for Footprints in the sand. He didn't write it but he came up with the concept and the poem and if you do that, it warrants you a songwriting credit,

Then why does Rihanna act like it's so personal and from the heart if she didn't write it?

Just found this titbit:

Despite the first UK chart being published in November 1952, it was nearly 12 years before the top ten consisted of all British acts - March 1964.

I heavily agree with you there. She co wrote a lot of songs on her latest album but didn't even co wrote the most personal song off the album.

Hmm, maybe when she heard she could relate to it? But still, it's a bit of a strange comment of her to say methinks...

Kylie Minogue had surely the most stunning debut of all time, in that her first 7 singles in 1988-89 all made at least no 21 in the top sellers of the year. The Spice Girls' 7th single Stop missed the top 40 of the year. Most of Westlife's no 1s also missed the top 40 of the year.

Ronan Keating made the top 40 sellers of the year each year in 1994-2000 either as part of Boyzone or solo. I doubt anyone else had made it 7 years in a row, apart possibly from the Beatles. He also made it in 2002 but had no huge sellers in 2001. Even Madonna's biggest sellers have been more spread out, and for example in 1988 she didn't even release any singles at all.

Kesha's mum co wrote Your love is my drug, Stephen and Animal.

Christina Millian co wrote Justin Bieber's song Baby along with her husband Christopher Tricky Stewart.

Emeli Sande wrote Chipmunk's diamond rings as well as actually singing on it. She is actually studying medicine but writes songs in her spare time. Her songs got passed around which resulted in Chipmunk having Diamond Rings and Wiley having Never be your woman.

Florence Welch (of Florence + The Machine) was discovered by Mairead Nash after Florence dragged her into the toilets at a club night and sung "Something's Got A Hold On Me" by Etta James to her. Mairead then hired her to sing at a Christmas Party believing that she only sung covers before agreeing to manage her.
