There is now a Skype app for some more Nokias including the 5800 and 5530. You can get it via Skype or the Ovi store. The download is 5Mb so wifi recommended!

do you know what functionality it has? Does it allow VoIP calls over WiFi or just 3G.

Really waiting for Truphone to update there app for N97, used to use on the N95 all the time, but if skype support the above l might switch.

Support VoIP over WiFi and 3G (though I have no way of testing 3G just yet.
Does not support video calls (at least I cannot send video, not sure if I can receive - not testing it).

Shouldn't this article be re-worded.

Skype has been around on Symbian for a couple of years - colleague has had it on his N95/8gig for a good while now.

Its just that its only just been released for all via the Ovi store. Not even slightly news.

It wasn't in this format before. I believe calls were previously of the Skype out type, or it did not work over WiFi.
Cannot remember exactly, but there were restrictions - hence why services like Fringo became popular.

I rather thought that including "some MORE" in the text might have been clear even to those with a D grade in GCSE English.....
