Hope you can help.

I need to replace the batteries on my cordless phones and I was going to buy some AAA batteries from Sainsburys but someone has told me that Cordless Phones dont take normal AAA batteries but ones that are specifically for Cordless Phones. Is this a wind up??

That 'someone' was wrong IF the phones currently use rechargeable AAA batteries (some use AA and some use special battery packs so that IF is important).

Check the existing batteries and buy NiMH batteries of the same or very similar mAh rating so that the power supply on the phone can cope with charging them adequately.
