They pump water into your chicken to make it look bigger and juicier than it actually is. Selling trick. Cook it as normal you'll be fine, the water will evaporate as you cook.

If you used cheap chicken it'll be pumped full of water.

Tilt the pan slightly and soak up the moisture with kitchen roll?

Try the food and drink forum instead of general discussion!

Or even advice!

It also makes it weigh an awful lot more, which means you get less meat for your money.

Is it frozen chicken or just breast fillets? Some suppliers do inject water to build it up a bit

Drums can't really be injected, it might be some juice. What's the code on the pack? (In an oval UK / EC box)

Use Kitchen roll to mop up the excess water.

And buy a better chicken next time. Do you have a local free-range supplier or local farm?

It's salmonella. You need to cook it for at least 5 hours on high.

Welcome to the world of dodgy meat production!

Beef burgers and cheap bacon shrink as well.

Why are you using chicken drumsticks for stir-frying?

You're weird.

They can be soaked instead, though. (Used to work in a chicken factory or two)

Well I had this for lunch and I am dissapointed to say that I didnt like my own cooking, I think I put too much oil into it and the water and oil seperated. Also I dont know why it was a bit slimy?

I am not going to cook my own food ever again!

Don't give up just because it didnt work the first time. Try free range chicken breasts next time - they aren't pumped with water, taste nicer and boneless chicen is much better in a stir fry. Make sure the oil is very hot before you add the meat otherwise it does release its juices and it will braise rather than fry. Once it is sealed you can turn the heat down a bit so it doesn't burn.

Worst thing is when you come to carve it up on a board then a gallon of water squirts out all over the side/floor making a right mess.

Do you think it remotely likely that everyone who can cook made a delicious dinner the first time they ever tried it?
Course not.
