Cheapest PAYG 3G phone?
Hi just wondering what is the Cheapest PAYG 3G phone at the mo?
I'm looking for a v cheap handset just for Facebook, Twitter, email and a bit of web browsing. I won't be making calls on it as i have a business phone. Was looking at the LG cookie for £50 or the Samsung Genio for £70 but just wondering what the cheapest 3g one is before making a decision? Cheers |

I use the ZTE F102 myself. Get a Free 3 sim with £10 loaded on it from the link below. http://www.gomobileuk.com/free-3-sim-card/ |

Mine kept on freezing whilst going onto the internet, its screen isn't really ideal for web browsing, call quality is terrible. If you don't mind spending the extra £10, i would recommend going for the INQ mini 3g. I had to buy this as the ZTE was just unusable, and for £10 more it completely outclasses the ZTE. Much better for internet browsing. Much better than anything the ZTE can do. Oh, and I had a cookie when it first came out, and in my opinion i would go for the INQ over it any day (slightly worse spec but not what you would want it for anyway). |

Strange, cus my call quality is top notch on it and the net doesn't freeze for me on it. Perhaps you had a bad one?

Great thanks guys, i will probably go for one of those. Have either of you had any experience with the Huawei U7510, its just £10 more expensive and has a 2.8" screen?

Cheers Often I have to slam my fingers down on a link just to activate it. It's not the scren as its sensitive when writing text. I've had 3 goes at connecting to Twitter using the app and never could. I tried accessing the twitter website on the phone and couldn't either. The Facebook app is also useless. One other fault i've found is the touch screen is uber-sensitive on the 0 button. If I want to type any other number I keep pressing the key until that number comes up. However when I wasnt to do a 0 I keep pressing it and after a few it shifts along a space then another so you have to back space again. Either that or change to numerals, press 0 then back to text and continue writing. I've had the phone for about 6 months and am ditching it for another. As a phone and a text sender its good, but as an access to the internet it's extremely poor. My suggestion is avoid it. |

Does the Nokia have dedicated Facebook and Twitter Apps, or can they be downloaded? I definatly need these as its what the handset will primarily be used for.
Nice looking phone though As for Facebook, I'm not sure because I'm not interested enough in it to want to carry it around - but I'm pretty sure my phone has a preinstalled app. |

If you haven't already bought one, don't put 3G on your list of essentials.
I've got a Nokia 5230, and the speed difference on GPRS/3G in loading mobile-optimised web pages is negligible. Regularly looking at facebook, digg, digital spy, etc. on GPRS and it loads in about the same time as when i've hot a HSDPA signal (give or take a few tenths). |
