Foxsat HDR transmission data
Is there a way to get the foxsat HDR to tell you what the characteristics of a transmission are. By this I mean the horizontal and vertical resolution and data rate. I certainly can't find such info but am aware that there are facilities available from the box that aren't in the manual.
Anybody know? |

Only way I know is to record the channel and transfer the file to usb and open it in AV2HDR which reports this info. Vertical res is easy it's 576 lines for SD and 1080 for HD. For SD horizontal is 544, 704 or 720. And all currentlly avialable HD is 1440. Bitrate can vary dynamically on channels sharing a transponder thabks to stat muxing.

i think if you press the opt (option) key on the remote it will tell you what frequency the channel uses. Alternatively go on the the desired channel and go to the diagnostics screen and this will tell you what frequency the tuners are using.
