Wouldn't it be better to make your own Pizza at home using fresh ingredients?

I agree with the O/P, the O/H quite liked the french bread pizza from Greggs as well.

Sigh.

These wisecracks are now becoming far more tedious than the comments from the people you are mocking.

Quite.

A French bread pizza couldn't be any easier to make at home. Far better than the utter rubbish served at Greggs. I have no idea why anyone would even walk through their doors.

Don't get me wrong, a nice home made french bread pizza would be great, but when your wanting a quick bite to eat, either on your break or going to work then a quick nip into Greggs is an ideal and tasty treat.

I would just buy one from greggs personally lol but ....

Get a french stick ... cut in half..... rub with a clove of garlic, spread tomato puree or passatta over the bread then grate over cheese and whack under the grill season to taste ... basil is pretty nice on it

Gah that sounds awful, can't stand pizzas made with just tomato puree or pasatta.

The sauce should be cooked to perfection, it should be right blend of herby, sweet and sllighty spicy.
It's the one thing Greggs do quite well. Not a huge fan of the the texture of their pizza base but it's not bad whatever base they use, the real problem is it's usually cold.

The defo still have them where I live. I got on the other day for my OH although it was a peperoni one.

There is a bakers just round the corner from me and they do the most amazing french bread pizzas ever - way better than greggs. But it is about £2.50 but they are huge!
