Hello

can anyone recommend the best artificial tablet sweetener, that is just like sugar & has no horrid aftertaste?

Many thanks

You should probably list the ones you've already tried.

I've tried stuff years ago, but couldn't stomach them.

I don't want to go & buy the wrong one, that taste truly dreadful!

I have to agree with previous post. Splenda is the best. You dont need as much as you do with sugar and it comes in 'sugar' form and sweetners. No bitter after taste with it either. It is pricey but it lasts for ages unless you cook with it.

I've used Hermesetas for donkey's years and I think they're the best. Sweetex are not as good.

Any Aspartame based sweetener has no aftertaste. Look for Maltodextrin and Aspartame on the label. I get the one from Home Bargains, it's called Gold Sweet and about 80p a jar. Morrisons do their own version not sure about anywhere else.

Sweetness and light is ok (granulated not a tablet)

Xylitol is ok too but expensive

maybe not the answer your looking for, but trying giving them up altogether. I used to take 3 sugars in coffee, but after giving it up I find any coffee with sugar or a sweetener in far too sweet now - blech . You'll soon adjust and it's healthier
