Unwanted texts
My wife keeps getting text messages offering betting tips on football and Horses (No they are not that reliable!!) However, there is no stop number or anything to identify the source. Only the name 'Diamond' and 'Cherry Admin'.
Anyone any thoughts on how to stop them....They are becoming annoying now...Thanks |

Is there no contact detail in the text?
Is she being charged for them or are they just irritating? If she isn't being charged then you need to contact the Information Commisioner's Office, www.ico.gov.uk as it is illegal to send unsolicited marketing messages. If she is being charged you need to contact the premium rate regulator www.phonepayplus.org.uk. |

There are no details whatsoever to indicate where they are coming from so we can't send a 'Stop' message.
There is no indication of any charge either. They are not marketing anything, just giving betting tips. I've checked a couple and they are 50 50 in getting it right. As we don't bother with gambling it's not even any type of bonus. I'll give Virgin a bell on Monday and see if they can help... |

Very puzzling. I can't think why anyone would send out betting tips randomly and free of charge. I suppose someone could have a subscription to a service or be a member of a site like Diamond Racing, but have put the wrong mobile number down.
Good luck with it, let us know how you get on as it will help anyone else with the same query. |
