Changing Sky+ to Freesat+

I have Sky+ in one room and a normal Sky box in another room. I gave up my subscription 18 months ago so just get free to air although I am still able to record on my Sky+. However, the Sky+ box has been playing up recently so I'm thinking about getting a Humax Foxsat HDR. I have a couple of questions :

1) Can I simply disconnect my Sky+ box and replace it with the Humax using the existing cables?

2) My TV is not HD, I assume that won't be a problem other than not being able to view BBC and ITV HD.

3) Will my normal Sky box continue to work OK?

Thanks, Andy

Thanks very much, I didn't expect to get an answer quite so quickly!

As an aside, channel 5 (and Five US and Fiver) have suddenly become unavailable this evening so that's another push towards Freesat, how could I survive without the Gadget Show and CSI?

You'll be able to view them via SCART I think but they won't be in HD.

Ch5 is on Freesat, the other two aren't.
