This year might be a break of tradition. In the final one of the majority sex always wins. Can't see Daniella getting to the final now, so Hayley will be on her own...
Danniella could get in the final and grab 3rd. Look at Jessica last year, survived about 2 skate-off's and got 3rd and Zaraah who survived about 5 skate-off's consecutively and got 3rd. It's possible.

Got to say I'm impressed with Daniella, and I can't say I've ever really liked her. She just gets on with it, no excuses for injuries, no sulking about being in the bottom 2 last week - she's obviously really enjoying herself and it shows.
Having said that, I don't think she's improved much since the first couple of shows - she needs a blinding routine next week to get through.
Keiren is my fave and has been for a while - would love him to get to the final. Thought his performance tonight was fab
Gary and Danny I can take or leave - I think one of them will be in the skate off next week.

Hayley is a class above though. Think her perfomance tonight was the best I've ever seen on DOI.
Brill post, I agree with you although I'm now at the point where I'll be sad to see any of them go - will miss Mikey

I want a Hayley/Kieron final with any of the other 3 in third position...

I was very happy with the result this week. There wasn't anyone left who was really bad, but Mikey's been trailing a bit for several weeks and I think he was the right person to leave. It was nice that he got in a decent performance with a good spin before he left.
A couple of weeks ago Daniella was my fave but she's in danger of replacing Mikey as the weakest link now.
Because Hayley is so far ahead, the comp for me has become more about who I think should leave next, rather than who I think should win. The nice thing is that I like them all, so there's no "Colleen" factor this year, where I find myself grinding my teeth as yet another useless lump escapes the skate off.

Really don't like Kieron's skating . Who is he anyway ?and who is this Danny person? I read somewhere he is an unemployed actor . He isn't a very good one , nor is the Kieron person .

I am afraid all the UK reality celebrity shows are fast running out of celebrities . Correction , they have mostly run out .

I only Know Daniella as the drug addict who had to have reconstructive surgery : she has impressed me with her attitude and the way she goes about it all . I didn't like her routines last week or this week , in fact this week she hardly skated much at all .

sorry to see Mikey go : he has had a difficult couple of weeks at the wrong time in the run.

Me neither.

I think we're in the minority though!

I didn't even see Keiron do much skating tonight. Lots of acting, yes, and dance moves on the spot, but little else.

It's not hard in any way at all to find out something about these actors and it's seems strange to criticise their acting ability when you haven't seen them in anything.

Indeed. Even most people who don't like Hollyoaks admit that Kieron Richardson is a very good actor in it.

More to the point, both him and Danny can act on the ice, which is more than can be said for one or two of the others!

Kieron has more than proved his worth on HO. I find him a very likeable, understated person. He's not a Cockney, in your face, barrow boy. His Mum was lovely when they had her on DOI Friday, not at all the pushy Mum. He's doing it as a challenge and not because he needs the work... He's taken loads of flak because he is so skinny - well some people are like that... And, no, I'm not related to him...

Well I, for one, am very glad that DOI have brought Kieron to wider public attention (or more specifically, my attention! )
Not only is he a very good skater (not Ray Quinn standard, admittedly, but more than competent) but he also has a lovely personality and is far more appealing to look at imo than bland Gary or musclebound Danny. And now that I've checked him out in Hollyoaks, I see that he's a good little actor too

So thank you, DOI team Kieron may not have been a big name celebrity before, but I think this could have been a very good move for him!

So agree Bluebird69 - it's a pity you didn't see him when he came into HO as a thug. He's changed Ste around from being a hateful character to one that you love. I think there still may be a bit of the bad boy in him, but he's been excellent. He's putting his all into DOI and doing a full week on HO, which the "resting" lads don't have to do...

Kieron is a great skater, maybe not the best but still very good especially considering he'd never skated before, plus his performances are always entertaining and fun to watch - after all DOI is a TV show, can't all just be boring but perfect routines

Sorry , I have never watched Hollyoaks and until the digital switchover began here last week , we had only BBC1. BBC2, ITV, all Wales and S4C , so my knowledge of programmes on other channels is limited .
I do know Hollyoaks is transmitted on on S4c as one or two of my students watch , but I never have .

I have googled these two, but still don't know who they are, so I am basing what I say on what I have seen.

I actually don't think either Kieron or Danny , though Danny was better tonight.act well on ice , but then most of them don't , so I am not singling them out at all . Hayley is excellent but that said, the rest are also rans ..

Karen Barber is right. Jason Gardiner really should the skating into account more than he does. All he seems to care about is the performance side of things.

And I really do wish he would stop having favourites. It's quite clear that Hayley is his favourite this year, particularly after him punching the air after she managed to do the required element correctly.

But how can he when he has no skating experience?

I think he'd be criticised even more if he tried to comment on skating when he's not qualified to.

I agree. I think Ray was actually better across the board than Hayley but I do agree that Hayley's routines have stood out more from a choreographic point of view. I don't think T&D ever quite hit a fantastic, memorable routine for Ray despite the material they had . Hayley's very strong though - it'll be interesting to see her up against Clare on the tour. She seems to have put the skating argument to bed fairly effectively and surely nobody will deny she sells a great routine.
The skating argument has not been put to bed. That routine had lots of dance moves done while on toe picks or otherwise avoiding skating. As skating, the spin was good, but not the rest of it.

If people had said the routine was good, or that they'd enjoyed it, fine. But it is getting absurdly excessive praise, examples below.

Wow, Haley & Daniel were fantastic, hairs stood up on the back of my neck!
I don't like Hayley - but credit where credit's due - her performance was breathtaking tonight, and I watched in awe - she deserved her 6s across the board. Outstanding...
Wow!! Hayley and Daniel were absolutely brilliant tonight. That was the best routine I can ever remember seeing
OMG Hayley was absolutely outstanding tonight, forget Suzanne Shaw, forget Ray Quinn even, that was the most deserving 30 in dancing on ice history.

Interesting you said that - with the pink and cutesyness I was sure that routine WAS originally for Emily.

You may be right. It certainly had the Emily format. Pick girl up into carrying lift, change position, do it again, move around bit and then end on a big lift. It needed something to start happening with the story straight away and if they couldn't think of how to use the music early on or Grease doesn't have enough story, they shouldn't have picked it.

Saw Grease a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't have much story ...........lots of films would have been much better.

I am glad the public are voting sensibly. Last year Coleen seemed to hang around for ages. Glad Mikey went. Sorry Mikey fans, but I just could not take to him. In fact I preferred Emily and I did not like her much.

Emily's another who was getting poor routines, imo. It wasn't until her partner got annoyed that they weren't giving her routines that showed she could skate as well as she did in practices. That seemed to make a difference for only one week, though.

I don't like Kieron's skating either & think he's extremely overrated on here.

Couldn't even guess who the general public are voting though.

Only just caught up on the show 'cause we had a power cut at the start of Mikey's performance and didn't get our TV and Internet back until this morning.

Thought Mikey was lacklustre as usual and I think the right person went last night. Daniella's performance wasn't really much better (more on that in a sec) but I think Robin made the right decision. And add that to his praise of Kieron and being funny during the judge drama and Robin was just awesome this week .

I am getting annoyed with the way Daniella is screwed over with the choreography every week. Her week 1 performance had solo skating and good choreo, and I feel like she hasn't really lived up to that since. All of the good choreo is going to the rest of them (though it took a while for Danny to get any). I really want her to get back on form. I was impressed this week when she managed to step it up for the skate off.

Kieron was excellent as usual, loved the way he acted his performance. I hate it when the producers put him in the last 3, I don't need the stress of thinking he might go every week! I'm hoping it's up and up from here.

I was surprised Gary got through... guess he must have more fans than I thought. His daughter seemed practically rink-side this week as well. Is he going to be using her as his prop next week?

Didn't like Danny's topless business but I'm not a fan of burley men anyway, prefer my skinny Kieron types. And Hayley was obviously great but I wouldn't rank it up there with the best DOI performances of all time.

I thought it was a great show this week though, after we've had some what people considered boring weeks. Innovative routines for most of them and I loved the judge bickering, always funny.
