Does anybody else like Carrie Underwood? I Love her, especially So Small and Cowboy Cassanova. I've got all her albums, and they are all 10/10! She is in my personal top 5 all time singers, she should so be bigger here...

Yeah, big fan.

Love basically all of her albums, personal favourites are Temporary Home, Jesus Take the Wheel, Change, Told You So and All-American Girl.

Could listen to her for hours on end without getting bored.

You should check out Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert who I also love, I find them to be pretty similar to Carrie. (I'm sure Martina was Carrie's inspiration)

Another big fan here!

Got all her albums so far. Fave songs are Change, So Small, I Know You Won't, Last Name, Jesus Take The Wheel, Wasted and Before He Cheats.

One of my best friends had her birthday party last night and I put in a special request before the night to get BHC played cos its her favourite song. Was awesome to hear it blasting out loud to have a dance to!

I think Temporary Home is getting a release soon over here, hopefully it can do well if she promotes it... Glad I'm not the only only Carrie fan!

She sang at the Superbowl and was very poor. If you want real quality Faith Hill is the girl to beat

Love Carrie!
I think she's great at ballads and uptempo. She's probably a little bit too country to be very popular here unlike Taylor Swift, who is on the right side of pop.
She's my favourite Idol contestant ever

She's really not my thing, not into country/pop music, but I think she's a really good singer. Always sounds great live. The one song I do love from her is 'Jesus Take The Wheel'.

Possibly dim question, but did she sing "Last Name"? I heard it on Glee and loved it, always wondered who did the original.

Yes she did sing Last Name and a lot better than whoever it was who murdered it on Glee.

I heard it from the kitchen and was excited because I thought the Chipmunks had covered the song for their squeakuel movie, couldn't believe it was a human being singing it.

Try the original it's infinitely better.

I don't know, I'd take a Broadway star over an American Idol winner anyday.

I've heard 2 of her songs and they're pretty good. I think she's a bit too country for me though - I'd probably have to listen to her stuff in moderation or it'd start to annoy me.

She was the most obvious AI winner ever. I had her as the winner from her first audition, though I thought Bo Bice was much better.

As others have said, she's too Country for the broader international market. She would only really stand a chance of reasonable international success if she watered down her style like Taylor Swift for example. She's hugely successful in America though.

I always thought she was a master technician on AI and well beyond but the last few live performances I have seen of hers, she has been surprisingly vocally erratic. She's generally very good though.

And how many hits or how much impact has Faith had over here then?? They missed the ideal chance to market Carrie over here when she won American Idol. But a lot of what gets played on country radio and comes out of Nasville these days leans more towards pop-crossover and has very little to do with country, and the only way acts like Taylor,Carrie,Miranda et al will find success over here is to aim themseleves at the pop market in the same way that Shania Twain and LeAnn Rimes did.

She wasn't marketed over here because her genre doesn't translate well to the UK market and most of the international market outside of the US. They did some subtle marketing here, putting "feelers" out to see reactions, and there was a lack of interest. Nothing to do with Carrie, she's great at what she does but what she does is not the genre of choice of too many people in this country.

I'm a big Carrie fan. Currently can't stop listening to Mama's Song and Look At Me off the new album.

It was Kristin Chenoweth. Everyone thinks she is best in Glee, but i hate her voice! Btw, please don't start going on about Glee now... (I'm a fan but this is Carrie Underwood's thread)
